- The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, as well as with lack of experience and knowledge, as long

as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by unsupervised children.

- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars,

restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels and offices.

• The device may only be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.
• The device must only be supplied at a safety extra-low voltage in accordance with the power indicated on the device.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical

Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.

• WARNING: To recharge the battery, use exclusively the removable power supply unit provided with the device and with the reference number KH6-050100EU.
• This device has irreplaceable batteries.

• Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the device before charging.

• The supply terminals must not be short-circuited.

• WARNING: Keep the appliance dry.
• Secure the parts to be fastened in such a way that they do not risk falling into the water.
• The battery may leak under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash immediately

with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.

- Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.

• Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft tissue perforation and death. Severe burns may occur within two hours of ingestion.
• In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.

2. BEFORE USE

- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transportation. Take the appliance out of its box and remove

all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

- Before the first use, charge the device for 2 hours for optimum operation.

3. OPERATION

• Select the attachment that best fits your personal needs.
• Fix the desired attachment to the top part of the device body.
• To remove the shaving head or any other attachment you have previously assembled, hold the trimmer's lower part with one hand and pull on the attachment with the other hand.
• To assemble one of the other attachments, insert the attachment in the device's main body slot and press it down until it is fixed into position. You will hear a click that indicates it is properly fixed.
• To assemble the beard guide comb attachment, insert the

shaving head inside the guide comb and lock the attachment fixing tab in place.

• The guide comb attachment includes a length-adjustment knob. Adjust it from 0.5 mm to 10 mm and adapt it to your desired haircut.
• To remove the guide-comb attachment, pull the back part off the device until the fixing tab is released, then slide the comb off the blade.
• Hold the device's main body with one hand and turn the upper part with the other hand anticlockwise to turn it on or clockwise to turn it off.

Note

The length of the cut may vary depending on the trimming angle. Start with a longer guide-comb setting and progressively shorten the cutting length as the hair is cut.

Tips

Ears:

• When using the trimmer to cut nose and ear hair, do not insert it more than 6 mm.
• When switched on, gently move the trimmer in and out of the ear canal.

Nose:

• When using the trimmer to cut nose and ear hair, do not insert it more than 6 mm.
• When switched on, gently move the trimmer in and out of the nose.

Nape/neck:

• Using a hand-held mirror is necessary for self-trimming.
• Lift hair off the neck and place the index finger to cover and protect hairs that are not going to be cut.
• Carefully place the blades on the neck's surface and slowly move the groomer in an upward direction until it is stopped by the index finger.

Shaving:

• Switch the device on.
• Move it performing straight movements close to the surface of the zone you are going to shave. Use it when hair is shorter than 1 mm. Do not make circular movements.

Wet shaving:

• The device can also be used as a facial epilator on damp or slightly wet skin.
• Apply some water to your skin.
• Apply shaving foam or shaving gel to your skin.

• Rinse the shaving unit under the tap to ensure that the shaving unit glides smoothly over your skin.

• Move the shaving head over your skin.

• Dry your face and thoroughly clean the shaving head after use.

Trimming with the guide-comb attachment

- The precision guide comb allows to cut the hair to different lengths.

Note

• When trimming for the first time, start at the highest length setting to get familiar with the device and then adjust it to the desired length.
• Always trim in the direction of the tines of the precision

trimming comb, making sure the flat part of the comb is in full contact with the skin for an even trimming result. This will ensure perfect results.

Body groomer

• The device can be also used as a body groomer to trim hair from the back, shoulders, chest, abdomen, underarms, arms and legs.
• It has a unique-design surface that protects your skin from being scratched and scraped.

Rotary shaving head

• Switch the device on.
• Move it in circles close to the surface of the skin area you are going to shave. Do not carry out lineal movements.
• Use it when hair is shorter than 1 mm.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Turn off and disconnect the device from the mains supply before cleaning, assembling or disassembling any of its parts.
• Do not use compressed air, sponges, powders or abrasive

agents to clean the device.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
• To clean the attachments, first remove them, sweep them with the cleaning brush and blow out hair clippings from the attachment and the body.
• Attachments are waterproof; therefore, they can be washed with water if necessary. Dry them thoroughly before storing or using them again.
• Clean the shaver and the attachments with the cleaning brush after each use. Remove the attachment and rinse it under warm running water. Do not use hot water.

To clean the shaver blade:

• Rinse the shaving attachment under running water. Use the cleaning brush at the same time if necessary.
• Carefully shake off excess water and let it. Do not dry it with a towel or tissue, as this may damage the cutting blades.

Warning

Do not rinse the shaver attachment as it is permanently lubricated.

Oiling blades

- Rinsing attachments under water requires lubricating the cutting blades once per month. Using only light-grade oils

(e.g. sewing machine oil), simply spread 1-2 drops lightly over blades using your fingertip. Wipe away all excess oil.

• Use only light-grade oils, as these will not evaporate nor slow down the speed of the cutting blades.
• Do not use hair oil, grease or any oil mixed with kerosene nor solvent, as these too will evaporate.
