• Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• Keep the appliance and its packaging out of the reach of children and animals when unsupervised.
• Do not use the appliance if it shows visible signs of damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
• Keep the appliance away from electromagnetic fields (mobile phones, remote controls, etc.). Otherwise, measurement accuracy could be affected.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures, moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.
• Keep water and other liquids away from the appliance.
• Wide temperature variations could cause condensation. In this case, allow the appliance to go back to room temperature before use.
• Do not drop the appliance or jump on its measuring surface.
• Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and make sure the measuring surface and the surface underneath is dry.
• Do not stand on the edge of the scale.
• Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaning materials to clean the appliance, as this could damage the surface.
• This scale is intended to be used for determining body weight,

analysing water, body fat, muscle and bone mass proportion in the body and calculating Body Mass Index (BMI).

• BMI function is only suitable for calculating the ideal weight of adults aged 18 and above.
• The calculated results are simple reference values. Do not use these results as the basis for any form of medical treatment or diet and contact a professional for any doubt.
• Body analysis function is not suitable for:
  a. People under the age of 10 or over the age of 70.
  b. People with a pacemaker or any other medical implant with electronic components.
  c. People with fever, oedema or osteoporosis symptoms.
  d. People undergoing dialysis treatment.
  e. People who are taking cardio-vascular medication.
  f. Pregnant women.
• The appliance can support a maximum body weight of 180 kg.

Instructions on batteries

• Do not burn or expose the batteries to high temperatures, as they may explode.
• Both batteries and cells can leak under extreme conditions. Should they leak, do not touch the liquid. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves when handling the battery or cells and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.
• Avoid contact between batteries/cells and small metal objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, or screws.

• Do not tamper with batteries or cells in any way.

• Batteries must be removed for safe disposal.

• Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.
• Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft tissue perforation, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.
• In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.
• The batteries' power supply terminals and the cells must not be short-circuited.
• If the appliance is to be stored for a long period of time, it is advisable to remove the batteries.
• Batteries and cells must be inserted in their correct position. Check polarity when replacing them.
• This appliance uses 2 1.5 V batteries, AAA type (included).
• Warning: If "Lo" appears on the display, batteries need to be replaced.

Replacing the batteries

• Open battery compartment on the bottom part of the appliance.
• Remove used batteries.
• Introduce 2 x 1.5-volt batteries, AAA type. Pay attention to polarity.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If any of them are missing or not in good condition, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Select the desired unit of measurement by pressing the weight unit change button (kg, lb or st:lb).

3. OPERATION

Configure different users by pressing the SET button for 3 seconds and changing the parameter with the and buttons. Confirm changes and move onto the next parameter by pressing the SET button again. Once the configuration of each user is finished, the scale will ask you to weigh yourself to register this parameter for each corresponding user. The scale can store the data of up to 10 users.

NOTE:

• It is important to enter the correct data to ensure an accurate measurement.
• If during parameter setting the scale remains inactive for 6 seconds, the set parameters will be saved, the LCD display will show "0.0", and Body Analysis mode will be enabled.
• If during parameter setting the display shows "0.0", hold down the SET button for 3 seconds to restart the parameter-setting process.

Conventional Weight mode (weighing with shoes)

• Place the scale on a solid, dry, flat surface (avoid carpets). Uneven floors will result in inaccurate measurement results.
• Carefully stand on the scale. The display will turn on and show the weight automatically. Once the weight has stabilised, the display will flash indicating the final weight. If the weight is close to the weight of one of the saved users, the scale will display the user code on the display and save the weight. To assign the weight to another user, press the Δ or button. The scale will recognise the user as long as the difference in weight from the last weighting to the current one is not more than 2 kg.
• The appliance will automatically turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.

Body Analysis mode

- This mode allows you to calculate body fat and water, muscle and bone mass, visceral fat, recommended daily calories, and body mass index.

ENGLISH

• To ensure accurate operation, remember to take off your shoes and socks before stepping on the scale.
• Turn on the scale and press the SET button to select the user.
• Once the selected user flashes, step on the scale.
• Place your feet on the contact sensors and remain still.
• Do not step off the scale until the results appear on the display.

Results will appear in the following order:

• Weight
• Body fat %
• Body hydration %
• Muscle mass %
• Bone mass kg
• Visceral fat
• Recommended daily calories (KCAL)
• Body Mass Index (BMI)

The scale will automatically switch off after displaying the results 3 times.

The scale will recognise the user in subsequent uses as long as the difference in weight from the last weighting to the current one does not exceed 2 kg and perform the body analysis of the user shown on the display.

The scale can display the following warnings:

• "Lo": the batteries of the scale are discharged. Insert new batteries.
• "Err": overload. Maximum weight exceeded. Step off the scale to avoid damage to the appliance.
• "C": an error occurred during the weighing process. Get off the scale and retry.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. No liquid must enter the appliance during cleaning.
• Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance. These can damage the surface
• Clean the appliance with a slightly dampened, soft cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent.
• When not in use, store the appliance in a dry, clean place which is protected from direct sunlight and is out of the reach of children.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
