1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users. This device is designed for personal use only and is not suitable for commercial or industrial use.

Do not leave children and animals unsupervised with the device and keep the packaging material away from them in order to prevent suffocation.

Do not operate this appliance if there are any visible signs of damage. Always check for damage before each use and in case of malfunction, contact the Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Keep the device away from electromagnetic fields (mobile telephones, remote controls, etc.). Measurement accuracy could be affected.

Keep the device away from heat sources.

Do not use the device outdoors.

1. Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, moisture, wet conditions or direct sunlight.

Keep water and other liquids away from the device.

Wide temperature variations could cause condensation. In this case, allow the device to go back to room temperature before use.

Do not drop the device or jump on its measuring surface.

Do not stand on the scale with wet feet and make sure the measuring surface and the surface underneath is dry.

Do not stand on the edge of the scale.

Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaning materials to clean the device, this could damage the surface.

3. BEFORE USE

Take the device out of its package and remove all packaging material.

Check carefully if there is any damage. If there is, immediately notify the Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

4. OPERATION

Place the device on a solid, dry and flat surface (avoid carpets). Uneven floors will result in inaccurate measurement results.

Gently stamp on the push button, this will automatically generate battery. Wait until "0.0" is displayed.

The scale will automatically turn off after 1 minute.

Note: Do not step on the scale until "0.0" is displayed.

Error indication:

"Err" will indicate overload, when more than 180 kg are places on the scale.

When a battery icon appears next to the digits in the display, the scale will turn automatically off after a few seconds due to low battery. Simply stamp on the push button again to generate more power.

Unit switch:

The display will show "Kg" or "Ib" below the battery icon, indicating which measuring unit is being used at that moment. Press the unit button to switch from one unit to another.

Note: The unit must be changed before stepping on the scale, not during weighing.

6. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

7. TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten,

exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.

The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.

The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
