How to use vertical steam?

Fill the tank, plug in the appliance, set the desired temperature and press the vertical steam button. Hold the iron perpendicular to the hanging garment and steam from top to bottom.

What type of water can I use in the tank?

It is recommended to use demineralized water to avoid limescale buildup. Tap water is tolerated but requires more frequent descaling.

How to clean the soleplate?

Wait until the iron is cold, then clean the soleplate with a slightly damp soft cloth. For stubborn stains, use a specific iron soleplate cleaner. Never scrape the soleplate with a metal object.

How to descale the iron?

Fill the tank with a mixture of water and white vinegar (1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water), let it sit for a few hours, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Follow the instructions in the manual for deep descaling.

What to do if the iron drips?

• Never operate the appliance while clothes are on the body or direct steam towards people.

2. BEFORE USE

Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance

• This device is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

1. Filling the water tank. Fig. 2

A. Open the rubber lid of the device.
B. Fill the water tank without exceeding the maximum capacity.
C. Close the rubber lid again. Clean the device after filling it up.
Caution: use pure water to ensure proper operation of the appliance.

2. Operation

• After filling up the water tank, connect the appliance to the mains: it will start to preheat and the indicator light will come on. After 30 seconds, the indicator light will go out. After 30 seconds of preheating, you can start using the iron.
• If you need to iron with steam, press the steam button: the iron will emit steam each time you press the button (it may be necessary to press it several times during the first use).

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

NOTE

Make sure the iron is unplugged from the mains before cleaning.

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down completely before handling it.
• Clean the steam outlet with a damp cloth.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
• Do not put the garment steamer in water or any other liquid.
• Always empty the water tank after each use and rinse with clean water.
• Clean the housing with a damp cloth.
• Always ensure the steam outlet hole is clean, free from scaling and not blocked.
• Once the garment steamer is disconnected from the power outlet, cooled down, water is emptied and the device is clean, it is recommended to wrap the cord safely around the steamer to store in an upright position.

NOTE

When using the iron for the first time, drops and steam will come out of the soleplate until the temperature stabilises. Before the first use, pass the iron over a plain fabric several times until the temperature stabilises. A small number of white specks may come out during the first use of the steam function, which is normal.

Cleaning water mineral deposits

• To prevent minerals from building up or reduce them, follow the below recommendations:
• Carry out this process once every month if not using natural water.
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged and cooled down.
• Mix a solution of 50% decalcifying agent and 50% weakly demineralised water.
• Remove the water tank as indicated before, open the rubber plug, and carefully pour the solution into the tank. Put the plug back.
• Allow it to take effect for 40 minutes and then empty the tank.
• Fill the tank with clean water, rinse and empty. Repeat this step until any odour disappears.
• This process only cleans the water tank.
• Do not plug the device during this process.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Solution
The iron does not emit steam	Check if the water tank is sufficiently full.
The tank leaks water	Close the lid and make sure it is securely closed.
The soleplate leaks	It is normal for the soleplate to drip during the first use. It will stop dripping when the iron is fully preheated.It is also possible that the soleplate drips from pressing the steam button continuously and quickly: press the steam button only when necessary.
