How to turn the device on and off?

To turn on the curling iron, press the on/off button. The device starts with speed and temperature settings set to 1 by default. To turn it off, press this button again then unplug the power cord.

How to adjust the air speed?

Use the speed change button. Press it multiple times to go from speed 1 to 2 then 3. The number of indicator lights on indicates the selected level.

How to adjust the temperature and activate cold air?

Press the temperature change button to go from 1 to 3. After level 3, the device activates cold air (the lights turn off). Pressing again returns to level 1.

How to use the curler with the Coandă effect?

On hair that is 85% dry, separate strands of about 2 cm. Bring the strand close to the curler head: the air automatically wraps it thanks to the Coandă effect. After a few seconds, use a burst of cold air to set the curl.

How to change the accessories?

To remove a head, slide the release tab down, turn the head, then pull gently. Then align the new head with the air outlet and turn it to secure it.

How to clean the device?

Unplug the device and let it cool down. Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the device in water. The air inlet filter can be cleaned with a soft brush or a cotton swab.

Can the device be used near water?

No. The device must not be used near a bathtub, shower, sink or a container holding water. Unplug it after use in a bathroom. Additional protection via a residual current device (RCD) is recommended.

The device turns off by itself, why?

This may be due to overheating. Check that the air inlet and outlet are not blocked, turn off the device, unplug it, and let it cool down. After cooling, it can be turned back on.

What accessories are included?

The box contains 8 heads: left and right cylindrical curlers, smoothing brushes with bristles and plates, round brushes 50 mm and 33 mm, drying head, and oval brush 60 mm.

What is the power of the device?

• All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.

• This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

- If the appliance is to be used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the appliance switched off.

- As additional protection, it is recommended that a Residual Current Device (RCD) having a rated operating fault current not exceeding 30 mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. We recommend you ask a qualified installer for advice.

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

1. Wash and condition your hair.
2. Dry your hair with a towel and comb it.
3. Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the appliance rating label and that the plug is earthed. Plug the appliance to a power supply.
4. Align the desired head with the air outlet and turn it to fix it to the body of the appliance.
5. Press and hold the on/off button to switch on the appliance: the air speed and temperature will be set to 1 by default. If you change the settings, the device will save the last setting for later use.
6. Air speed: repeatedly press the air speed change button to adjust the air speed. When the speed is set to 1, the first speed LED will light up, from left to right. Press the button again to set the speed to 2: the first and second LEDs will light up at the same time. Press the button a third time to set the speed to 3: all three LEDs will light up at the same time. Press the button again to return to speed setting 1.
7. Air temperature: repeatedly press the temperature change button to adjust the temperature. When the temperature is set to 1, the first temperature LED will light up, from left to right. Press the button again to set the temperature to 2: the first and second LEDs will light up at the same time. Press the button a third time to set the temperature to 3: all three LEDs will light up at the same time. Press the button again to activate the cold air, the indicator lights will go out. Pressing it again will return to temperature setting 1.
8. Turn off the device by pressing and holding the on/off button and unplug it from the power outlet when you are finished using it.
9. Automatic cleaning function: with the appliance switched off, press, and hold the temperature change button for 5 seconds: the dryer will blow air out of the air inlet grille for 20 seconds.
10. To remove the head, slide the release tab down, rotate the head and pull it gently to remove it.

Using the curlers

1. With your hair at least 85% dry, place the curler on the side of the head whose hair you wish to curl first.
2. Separate the hair into approximately 2 cm strands.
3. Select a warm or hot temperature setting.
4. Bring the end of the hair strand close to the curler: the latter will attract the hair thanks to the Coandă effect and curl it.
5. Keep the hair wound on the curler for a few seconds and then release a shot of cold air to fix the hairstyle.
6. Switch off the appliance and unwind the hair from the top. Repeat these steps with the next strand until all hair on that side of the head is curled.

1. Replace the curler with the one fit for the hair on the opposite side of the head and do the same.

After use

1. Turn the appliance off and unplug it.
2. Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down.
3. Remove the hair and dust from the appliance and attachments.
4. Make sure there is nothing obstructing the air inlet or outlet.
5. Clean the appliance with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the device.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the device.
• Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable.
• Clean the dirt and hairs that may be clogging the device.

Cleaning the filter (Fig. 3)

• Turn the air-inlet filter cover to unlock it and gently pull it downwards.
• Use a soft brush or a cotton swab to clean the air inlet and the filter.
• Refit the cover by turning it to lock it in place.
