Frequently Asked Questions - Passad 31 PAX
How do I assemble the PAX Passad 31 fan?
Connect the base to the telescopic pole, attach the motor assembly, then click the front grille into place. Lock all quick-lock screws and only plug in the fan after full assembly.
How do I select the fan speed?
Use the rotary knob on the control housing. Turn it to 0 for off, 1 for low, 2 for medium, and 3 for high. The knob is clearly marked 0-1-2-3.
Does the Passad 31 fan oscillate and how do I enable it?
Yes, the fan can oscillate. Press the small oscillation knob on top of the motor housing to start the 90-degree side-to-side air sweep. Press it again to stop oscillation.
How do I clean the fan safely?
Always unplug the fan first. Remove the front grille with its snap hooks, wipe the blades and grille with a soft damp cloth, and let all parts dry completely before reassembling. Never immerse the motor body in water.
How does the timer work?
Turn the timer dial to the desired number of hours, from 0 to 7.5. The fan will run for that time and then switch off automatically. If the dial is set to the continuous position, the timer is bypassed.
Why is my Passad 31 making a lot of noise?
Place the fan on a flat, sturdy surface and check that all screws and the front grille are tightened. Dirt on blades or a bent blade can also cause noise. Clean the blades and, if needed, contact the service center. The normal operating sound is about 55 dB(A).
Can I leave the fan running overnight?
Yes, thanks to the integrated overheat fuse and optional timer. Keep the fan at least 1 meter away from curtains or bedding, do not cover it, and use a properly grounded wall outlet.
Does the PAX Passad 31 come with a remote control?
No, the Passad 31 is designed with simple and durable manual rotary controls. A remote control is not included or required; all functions are available on the fan body.
Can I adjust the height of the fan?
Yes, the telescopic stand allows you to change the height. Loosen the collar slightly, slide the pole to the desired height between approximately 120 and 134 cm, then retighten the collar securely.
Where can I find replacement parts for the Passad 31?
Contact PAX customer service or an authorized service center with the model number Passad 31. Commonly available parts include the blade assembly, front grille, knobs and switch module.
