2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
• This product is for household only. Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes.
• For hygienic reasons, do not share this appliance with other people.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• When switched on, the appliance must never come in contact with the hair on your head, eyelashes, ribbons, etc. to prevent any danger of injury as well as to prevent blockage or damage to the appliance.

Safety Extra Low Voltage power supply. Do not exchange or manipulate any part of it. Otherwise there is risk of electric shock.

• Do not expose the device to temperatures below 5 °C or above 35 °C.
• People with reduced immunological response or that suffer from diabetes mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeficiency must consult their doctor before using the device.
• Use the device only for hair removal and following the instructions in this manual.
• Do not remove hair from areas with open wounds, cuts, burns, warts, moles, sun burnt skin or varicose veins.
• Do not use the device if you are suffering from a skin irritation, skin infections like psoriasis or eczema.
• Do not use the device for removing hair from your face, head, chest, eyebrows, eyelashes or genitals. Use it only to remove hair from legs, arms, underarms and bikini line.
• This appliance cannot be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

3. BEFORE USE

• Take the product out of the box.
- Remove all packaging materials. Keep the original box.
• Make sure all the components are included and in good conditions, otherwise, contact immediately the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

4. OPERATION

HAIR REMOVAL

The electric epilator includes 18 tweezers that remove hair. For perfect efficiency, it is recommended to use it on fairly short hair (2-5 mm).

• Before removing hair, take a warm shower. Warmth will help your pores dilate and thereby ease removal of the hair.
• To remove hair successfully, look closely at the direction in which hair grows in the area where hair is to be removed. Move the electric epilator in the direction opposite to that of the hair growth.

Note: If the device is moved in the same direction as the hair growth, hair could be simply cut or improperly pulled, causing it to grow back under the skin.

Warning: All methods of hair removal at the root can lead to ingrown hair and irritation (e.g. itching, discomfort and reddening of the skin) depending on the condition of the skin and hair. This is a normal

reaction and should quickly disappear, but may be stronger when you are removing hair at the root for the first few times or if you have sensitive skin.

HOW TO USE THE ELECTRIC EPILATOR

1. Connect the cord to the power supply and then to the device.
2. Fully charge the device for 80 minutes.
3. Remove the protection cover.
4. Turn the device on and select speed:

a. I: Fine hair

b. II: Coarse hair

1. Hold the appliance at an angle of 90° to the surface where hair is to be removed.

Arms and legs:

• Always work with both hands. Carefully stretch the skin with one hand while moving the appliance with the other. Only move your hair remover against the direction of the growth of your hair. Do not use circular or back-and-forth motions.
- Slowly move the electric epilator, while pressing down lightly. Do not press the appliance down too hard against your skin; it might slow down and be less effective.

Underarms and bikini line:

Recommendation: This zone is especially sensible, therefore it is recommended to use speed I.

• If hair is long (longer than 1 cm), it is suggested to cut it before using the device, preferably at speed l.
• Before operating the device in this area, clean it thoroughly to remove any residual rest such as deodorant. Then, dry it with a towel.
• Move the appliance using an upwards motion.

1. After hair removal, use a moisturizing milk to soften skin. Apply the product and massage it in circular motions to help the skin absorb it.

Shaving head

Use this head to shave hair from sensible zones.

Overload protection

The electric epilator includes a protection system that will turn it automatically off to prevent risk of damage or danger.

Tips

Scrubbing is a necessary step for successful hair removal. Done regularly, it:

1. Prevents hair from growing back under the skin.
2. Removes dead cells and refines the texture of your skin.
3. Prepares your skin to help it absorb skin care products.
4. Scrubbing done once or twice a week maintains a healthy and fresh skin.

It is suggested to scrub skin ideally the day before hair removal. The scrubbing will straighten the hair thereby helping you to remove it

Warning: Avoid scrubbing just after hair removal.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Turn off and disconnect the device from the mains supply before cleaning or assembling or disassembling any of its parts.
  • Pull out the head cover by hand.
  • Do not use compressed air, abrasive scouring pads, powders or

cleaners to clean the product.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid, or place it under running water.
• Press both buttons on the sides and pull the epilation head out with the other hand.
• Use the cleaning brush dipped into alcohol to clean the tweezers. Clean the tweezers with the brush from the rear side of the epilation head while turning the barrel manually.

• It is recommended to regularly disinfect the heads with alcohol.

• After cleaning, place the protection cover and epilation head back on the appliance.

- Use a soft damp cloth with some water to clean the product's surface.

• Dry thoroughly the device with tissue paper after cleaning it.

7. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.

The crossed out "wheeled bin" symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.

Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.

8. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY

This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.

The warranty will not cover the following situations:

• The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
• The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.

• Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
• The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
