General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors (except if it is designed to be used outdoors). Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately. Do not put it in water. When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories. Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead). To protect children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances, make sure that the cable is hanging low and that children do not have access to the appliance. Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged. Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type. Use only original spare parts. Pay careful attention to the following “Special Safety Instructions“. Safety Symbols on the Device and in the Instructions Caution! The device is equipped with a thermostat for temperature restriction, a safety fuse and a safety lock. The device must not be opened during use. During use the device must not be tilted by more than 45° as boiling water could be spilled together with the steam. Never direct the steam jet towards people, animals or electric devices (e.g. into the oven). Please do not immerse the device in water or other liquids. When refilling, always pull the power plug from the socket. Do not overfill! Please do not exceed the amount of water indicated on the measuring beaker. Store the device out of the reach of children. Please do not add anti-liming agents, solvents, alcohol or cleaning agents as these may damage the device or have a dangerous effect. Overview of the Controls

Before the tank lock is opened the power plug must be removed from the socket. Please make sure the device is depressurized by pressing the steam switch. Caution! Before unscrewing the lock (3) proceed as follows:
Remove the power plug from the socket. Release the pressure by using the steam switch (4). If the device is still warm, please wait 5 minutes before removing the seal completely. Press the seal downwards and turn. Caution! Danger of Injury! Please open the safety lock (3) only when no more steam comes out of the nozzle. Shake any residual water out of the kettle (1). Then fill the measuring beaker (8) and pour the water into the kettle. Use a funnel if necessary. Re-fasten the safety lock (3).

Brush (10) and Angle Attachment (11) Both attachments can be joined to the nozzle attachment (12) on the hexagonal section. Nozzle Attachment, Hose, Cleaning and Non-woven Fabric Attachment
1. Push the accessory on to the device as far as it will go. The mark on the nozzle
and the I mark on the device should be aligned with one another.
2. Turn in the direction of the arrow (in a clockwise direction) until the mark on the
accessory is aligned with the II mark on the device. The accessory remains locked in this position.
3. The nozzle attachment can be used on the hose or directly on the device.
4. The hose (7) must be attached to the connection nozzle (2). The nozzle attachment and the universal cleaning attachment (13) can be fixed to the end of the hose. The universal cleaning attachment should be used either together with the non-woven fabric attachment (9) or with the window cleaning attachment (14). The non-woven fabric attachment is intended for cleaning sensitive surfaces such as sofas and armchairs.
5. The window cleaning attachment (14) is hooked under the cleaning attachment
(13). Attachments: Nozzle attachment: for cleaning crevices, for example, bathtub edges etc. Brush attachment: for areas which are difficult to access. Angle attachment: for areas which are difficult to access, e.g. radiators. Non-woven fabric attachment: protective non-woven fabric attachment for sensitive surfaces. Window cleaning attachment: for window cleaning, shower cabinets etc. Universal cleaning attachment: for larger surfaces such as glass panes or tiles. Switching on the Device
Before inserting the mains lead into the socket, check whether the voltage you intend to use complies with that of the machine. For details see the machine label. Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz. After about 3-4 minutes the pressure in the boiler has built up. Please press the steam switch (4) to produce steam.

Seite 42 Filling up the Water Boiler when using the Device
If there is no more water in the vessel no steam is emitted when the steam switch (4) is pressed. The water has to be filled up as follows:
1. Pull the power plug out of the socket!
2. Wait for approximately 5 minutes and release the residual pressure with the steam switch!
3. Unscrew the safety lock (3) slowly and wait for a few seconds
before opening it completely until the excess pressure has escaped. 4. Fill fresh water from the measuring beaker (8) by means of the funnel into the boiler. Do not overfill! Do not exceed the amount of water indicated on the measuring beaker! Take care of water splashes that might come out of the boiler. In order to prevent the water from splashing it should be filled into the funnel slowly after the safety lock has been opened.
5. Fasten the safety lock again.
6. Insert the power plug back into the socket.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and maintenance must only be carried out when the power plug is removed from the socket. Before putting the device away or cleaning it, it has to be allowed to cool down completely. Please clean the device and the accessories only with a slightly moist cloth. Do not use strong cleaning agents of solvents for cleaning. In order to guarantee a long and trouble-free working life, lime residues have to be rinsed out of the boiler once a month. Please do not use vinegar or other anti-liming agents. This device has been tested according to all relevant current CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives, and has been constructed in accordance with the latest safety regulations. The device supplied by our Company is covered by a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt). During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories *) ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee! Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out. If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt. *) Damage to accessories does not mean automatic free replacement of the whole machine. In such cases please contact our hotline. Broken glass or breakage of plastic parts are always subject to a charge. Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing (e.g. motor pistons, kneading blades, drive shafts, spare remote control, spare toothbrushes, saw blades, etc.) as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid! The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering. After the expiry of the guarantee After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
