Frequently Asked Questions - ACCESSK1 AccessPRO
How do I install the ACCESSK1 system?
Mount the controller indoors near the door, connect the 12V DC power supply, attach the RFID reader to the outside, and wire the electric lock to the relay output. Refer to the installation diagram in the manual.
How do I add a new user?
Press the programming button on the controller, enter the master PIN (default 1234), then follow the prompts to assign an RFID card or PIN code to a user slot. Up to 500 users can be stored.
What is the default master PIN?
The default master PIN is 1234. We strongly recommend changing it after first installation to ensure security.
How can I reset the system to factory settings?
Power off the controller, press and hold the reset button, then power on. Release the button after 10 seconds. All users and settings will be erased.
Why is the reader not detecting my card?
Ensure the card is within 5 cm of the reader, the reader is properly connected to the controller, and the card has been registered in the system. Check for interference from metal objects.
Can I use the system with a Wi-Fi lock?
No, the ACCESSK1 is designed for wired electric locks (e.g., magnetic or solenoid locks) controlled via the relay output. It does not support Wi-Fi locks.
How do I view the event log?
Connect the controller to a PC via the RS485 interface and use the proprietary software (available on the AccessPRO website). The log stores up to 10,000 events.
What is the maximum distance between reader and controller?
The maximum cable length for the Wiegand connection is 150 meters. For longer distances, use an RS485 extender.
Can I connect multiple readers to one controller?
The ACCESSK1 supports one reader per controller for a single door. For multiple doors, additional controllers are required.
How do I clean the RFID reader?
Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the reader surface. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners to avoid damage.
