Frequently Asked Questions - Cafelizzia Fast CECOTEC

How to use the Cecotec Cafelizzia Fast coffee maker for the first time?
Before first use, rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh water. Place a cup under the spout, turn on the appliance, and let water run without a capsule to rinse the circuit. Then, insert a capsule and select the desired cup size.
What types of capsules can I use?
The Cafelizzia Fast is compatible with original Nespresso capsules as well as most standard compatible capsules.
How to descale my Cecotec coffee maker?
Use a compatible descaling solution. Fill the water tank with the descaling mixture (follow product instructions). Start the descaling cycle using the designated button. Then rinse several times with clean water. It is advisable to descale every 2-3 months depending on water hardness.
What to do if the coffee maker does not turn on?
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in and the socket works. Check that the water tank is correctly in place. If the problem persists, consult the manual or contact after-sales service.
How to adjust the water quantity for a larger or smaller cup?
Press the cup size button to switch between presets (usually espresso and lungo). You can also hold the button to manually adjust the quantity by releasing when the cup is filled.
Why is my coffee not frothing much?
Make sure the capsule is properly inserted and the spout is not blocked. The 15 bar pressure ensures good crema if the appliance is clean. Descale if necessary.
How to clean the drip tray and tank?
Removable parts (drip tray, water tank, grid) can be washed with warm soapy water. They are dishwasher-safe (only the tray and grid). Dry thoroughly before reassembling.
The appliance turns off by itself, is that normal?
Yes, the coffee maker has a programmed automatic shut-off after 9 minutes of inactivity to save energy.
Where can I find spare parts for my model?
You can order spare parts (tank, tray, seal, etc.) on the official Cecotec website or through their after-sales service.
Is the warranty still valid if I use non-official capsules?
Using compatible capsules does not void the warranty, unless they damage the appliance. It is recommended to use quality capsules.
