• To avoid food contamination, please follow the instructions below:

• Opening the door for a long period of time may cause a significant increase in temperature in the appliance compartments.

• Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with food and with the accessible draining systems.
  Store raw meat and fish in proper containers in the freezer, so they do not come into contact with or leak on other food.
  The two-star compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream, and making ice cubes.
• Compartments with one, two, or three stars are not

suitable for freezing fresh food.

If the appliance is not going to be used or be empty for a long period of time, switch it off, allow it to defrost, clean it, dry it, and leave the doors open to prevent interior mould growth.

• Before carrying out any maintenance and cleaning task, turn off the appliance and unplug it.
• It is advisable to wait for at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow oil to flow through the compressor.
• Air must flow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating. To achieve good ventilation, follow the installation instructions.
• Whenever possible, the rear part of the appliance should not be too close to the wall to prevent it from touching or reaching the hot parts (the compressor and the condenser). To avoid risk of fire, follow the installation instructions.
• Make sure that the plug is accessible after installation of the appliance.
• All electrical work required to maintain this appliance must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this manual. Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and be dangerous for the user.

Temperature range

- The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

Note:

• Taking into account the limiting values of the room temperature range for the climates for which the appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected by factors such as the location of the appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature control device according to these factors.
• If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e. beyond the rated ambient temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired indoor temperatures.

Refrigerant

• Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however, it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.

• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.

• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.
  This symbol means: warning, risk of fire/flammable materials.

• If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:

• Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.

• Completely air the room where the appliance is located.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

Before using the refrigerator

• Remove all transport packaging.
• Wipe the inside and outside of the refrigerator with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water (you can add a little neutral detergent if you wish).
• After positioning, levelling and cleaning the refrigerator, wait at least 1 hour before connecting it to the mains. Then wait about 3 hours until the interior has cooled down

completely. After this time, you can place the food inside the refrigerator.

Note: before starting the refrigerator, please read the instruction manual carefully.

3. INSTALLATION

Installation considerations

• Place the refrigerator in a stable place where vibrations do not occur. In places where earthquakes occur frequently, the refrigerator must be secured so that it does not fall to the ground and cause accidents.
• If the space around the refrigerator is small or if objects are placed on the top or side of the appliance, heat dissipation may be impaired and cause unnecessary waste of electrical energy.
• Contact between the rear surface of the appliance and the wall can cause vibrations and noises.
• If the refrigerator is placed too close to a wall or other objects, they may burn due to heat dissipation.
• If the refrigerator is placed near heat sources or in a place where it is exposed to direct sunlight, the cooling effect will be reduced, resulting in extra electricity consumption.
• Adjust the feet at the front of the refrigerator to place it in an upright position. If it is not properly levelled, noise and vibrations may occur.
• If the refrigerator is placed on a carpet or any other soft object, place a cushion mat under the refrigerator, otherwise it may tip over and cause injury.
• Make sure that the refrigerator is connected to an earthed socket, otherwise an electric shock may occur.
• Do not place the refrigerator in wet or humid places.
• During transport, make sure that the refrigerator door does not come into contact with any object that could damage it, and that the inclination of the refrigerator does not exceed 45^ .
• Place the refrigerator in a well-ventilated dry place, where it is not exposed to direct sunlight. Additionally, avoid placing it near heat sources.
• Do not expose the refrigerator to low temperatures.
• Installation dimensions of the refrigerator: sufficient space must be provided for the installation of the refrigerator and for proper ventilation and heat dissipation, so please first ensure that the dimensions of the space in which you intend to install the refrigerator meet the requirements before installation. In figure 2, you can see the dimensions required for the installation.
• Be sure to leave a space of at least 200 cm2 at the back of the cabinet where the appliance is to be fitted for proper ventilation, as this is a fully panelled appliance and ventilation will need to be provided in this way. Air will circulate from the rear and exit from the top, so a

space of at least 200 cm2 must also be left at the top for the air to exit.

- It is recommended that the height of the refrigerator trim panel is 710-720 mm.

Please, perform the following two steps before installation:

1. Fit the rubber gasket on the rear cover of the compressor. To fix it, use screws. Fig. 3
2. Insert the power plug of the refrigerator into the power socket. Next, place the refrigerator in the corresponding recess by fitting it to the left-side wooden panel. Fig. 4

Specifications for built-in installation

1. First, adjust the distance between the front and rear of the refrigerator. Then, fix the top and bottom part of the appliance to the cabinet in which it is installed by means of two ST3.9*1 screws on the top part and two more on the bottom part. Finally, fit the corresponding protector. Fig. 5
2. Next, place the refrigerator support feet about 4 mm away from the cabinet. To measure the distance, use the corresponding tool that is in the accessory bag. Finally, after tightening the screws, fit the caps to cover the holes. Fig. 6.
3. Align the trim on the top of the refrigerator horizontally with the top of the cabinet.
4. Secure the sides of the refrigerator to the sides of the cabinet using the left and right-side brackets.
5. After that, insert the sealing tape into the gap between the side of the refrigerator and the cabinet. Fig. 7
6. Bring the left and right-side brackets of the refrigerator close to the right side of the cabinet and fix the left and right-side brackets to the centre of the refrigerator with an M5 screw. Next, attach the hinge to the inside of the cabinet with an ST3.9*16 screw. Fig. 8
7. Secure the refrigerator to the cabinet door using the sliding base.
8. Fix the refrigerator door to the cabinet door:

8.1. Open the cabinet door to the maximum angle (about 100 degrees).
8.2. Move the refrigerator door closer to the cabinet door.
8.3. Place the sliding base of the door on the sliding guide. Please note that the sliding base must protrude 12 mm from the refrigerator door in order to be able to fix the screws. Fig. 9
8.4. Secure the refrigerator door sliding base to the cabinet door using two screws.
8.5. There are 4 positions in total.

Final checks

• Check that all parts are secure, and that the refrigerator is correctly levelled.
• Check whether the refrigerator and the cabinet are well aligned with each other by means of the guide and the sliding base. If you notice any strange noises when the parts slide, use petroleum jelly to lubricate them.
• Make sure to leave 2-3 mm of space between the cabinet door and the refrigerator door to be able to open it.

4. OPERATION

• Connect the refrigerator to the mains. When you connect the refrigerator to the mains (either for the first time or after unplugging it) it will operate with the default settings.
• The factory setting of this refrigerator is 5/-18 °C.
• You can set the refrigerator to the temperature range you require using the corresponding icons.
• After a certain period of time, the refrigerator will have cooled down completely, so you can place the food you wish to store inside.

Mode selection

Press the mode selection icon and choose from the following: Holiday mode, Fast Cooling mode or Smart mode. The indicator light corresponding to the selected mode will light up.

Compartment selection

Press the compartment selection icon to choose between the refrigerator compartment or the freezer compartment. When doing so, the temperature on the display will start flashing.

Temperature setting

When the temperature on the display is flashing, press the temperature icon to adjust the temperature. After 3 seconds, the temperature will stop flashing, indicating that the setting has been made correctly. If the temperature is still flashing after this time, press the temperature icon again to switch to the other compartment and set the temperature correctly.

Switching on/off the refrigerator

Press and hold the mode selection icon for three seconds. When "OF" appears on the display, the refrigerator will switch off. To switch it back on, press and hold the same icon for another three seconds.

Fitting and removing the shelves and drawers

The height of the shelves can be adjusted to comfortably store food of different sizes. To remove the shelves, pull them slightly outwards.

To remove the crisper drawer, pull it slightly outwards.

Note: the freezer drawers can also be removed, but we recommend that you do not do this.

- To remove the door shelves from the refrigerator compartment door, lift them slightly without exerting too much pressure.

5. INSTRUCTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE

Refrigerator compartment (0 °C \~ 10 °C)

• The refrigerator compartment is suitable for storing food for a short period of time.
• Before putting the food in the refrigerator compartment, cut it into small pieces and put it in an airtight food container properly. Distribute the food evenly.
• We recommend that you store fruit and vegetables in the crisper drawer provided for this purpose.
• If you store cooked food in the refrigerator compartment, we recommend that you put it in an airtight food container properly.

Freezer compartment (below -18 °C)

• The freezer compartment is used to store food for a long time.
• Pack food separately before putting it in the freezer compartment and distribute it evenly.
• Do not insert glass containers.
• Fresh food should be stored separately from frozen food.

Using the ice cube tray

- Fill the ice cube tray almost to the top and put it in the freezer compartment. When the water has frozen, turn it upside down and remove the ice cubes. Do not bend the ice cube tray.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• You should clean the refrigerator at least once a month.
• Unplug the refrigerator to avoid electrical shock.

• In case of oil stains, wipe with a damp cloth and a little neutral liquid soap. When cleaning is complete, make sure that no product residue remains.

• Do not clean the refrigerator with alkaline liquid detergent, washing powder, petrol alcohol or talcum powder to avoid damaging the coating and plastic.

• Remove dust from the back and bottom of the refrigerator periodically to keep it clean.

Checks required after maintenance

• Check the power cable and plug for damage.
• Check the plug for dust.
• Check if the plug is too hot.
• Check that the cable is properly plugged to the power socket.

Note: if the power cable or plug is damaged or dusty, it may cause an electric shock.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING

Warning

This appliance will beep if a fault occurs. When the refrigerator sensor detects a fault, the display may show the following error codes:

E7	Fault of the freezer compartment fan locking system

If any of the above error codes are displayed, the refrigerator will continue to operate, but you should contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service as soon as possible.

Troubleshooting

The refrigerator gives off bad smells	Check that all food is packaged.	Hot food must be cooled before being placed in the refrigerator.
	Check if the refrigerator is clean.	Clean the refrigerator regularly.
	Check if any food has been in the refrigerator for too long.	Do not store food for a long time.

Phenomena that are not a problem

The front of the refrigerator is hot	The refrigerator pipe (anti-condensation pipe) is placed at the front of the refrigerator to dissipate heat and prevent condensation.
The refrigerator door cannot be opened easily	The refrigerator door cannot be opened easily immediately after closing it, as warm air enters the refrigerator and, as a result, a pressure difference is generated by the sudden cooling of the air. After some seconds, the refrigerator door can be opened easily again.
There is a kind of noise	When the compressor starts or stops, the refrigerator piping can cause this noise.
	Water generated after defrosting can also cause this noise.
A repetitive sound is heard	This sound is produced by the contraction and expansion of the refrigerator body.
	When the refrigerator door is opened, this sound may be produced.
A buzzing sound is heard	Such a sound may be produced during compressor operation.
The door of the refrigerator compartment or the food is condensed or covered with frost	The refrigerator is placed in a humid or high temperature environment.
	The refrigerator door has been left open for a long time.
	Food contains a lot of water and is not properly packaged.
Condensation occurs inside the light	The light becomes hot when it is switched on, so if the refrigerator door is open for a long time, condensation may occur.
Condensation occurs on the outside surface of the refrigerator	If there is excess moisture around the refrigerator, it may accumulate in the body of the refrigerator and cause condensation.
