Blade balancing adjustment (use of Balancing Kit (10))

(See Figure 11)

Important: perform the tests with the fan connected to the power, but any placement or removal of the Swing Kit (10) must always be done with the power off and the Blades (4) completely stopped.

  1. Identify the blade to be improved

  2. Set the fan to the highest speed to make the oscillation more noticeable. Observe the sway.

  3. Disconnect the power supply and, on one of the blades (4), temporarily place the clip of the Balancing Kit (10) on the middle edge of the blade (approx. half of its length).

  4. Comparison between blades

- Restore power and observe if the oscillation improves.

- Cut the feed again, remove the clip and place it on the next blade. Repeat the process until all the blades (4) have been compared and find out where the greatest improvement is obtained.

  1. Searching for the optimum position on the selected blade

- On the blade that has shown the greatest improvement, conduct several tests by moving the clip to different positions along it (closer to the centre, towards the tip, etc.), until you find the point where vibration is minimal.

  1. Final attachment of the counterweight

  2. Taking the optimum position of the clip as a reference, remove the clip and attach the weight of the Balancing Kit (10) on the centreline of the blade, aligned with the previously found position.

  3. Secure the counterweight firmly and check that it is properly attached and will not interfere with the lampshade (7) or any other component.

  4. Final verification

- Reconnect power and test the fan at various speeds. If oscillation is still felt, repeat fine
