1. General information
ATTENTION: You must read this before installation!
Please observe the instructions in the operating manual carefully. In case of non-compliance, the claim for a guarantee will expire. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages or subsequent damages arising out of non-compliance.
The Dust Protection Door HEYLO DCD 3.0 is a piece of equipment for the trade and serves the purpose of fast and safe partitioning of wall openings (doors, windows, hatches) in the working area or area where dirt has collected as opposed to the white area of the building. Other building parts can thus also be safely protected from dust during renovation work with the DCD 3.0.
The DCD 3.0 can be used for door widths from 680 mm to 830 mm. Door widths of up to 1430 mm can be partitioned off optionally using adapters that can be additionally supplied.
The DCD-3.0 combined with filter ventilators and hoses is the Dust Protection System DCS – for permanent pressurisation or suctioning off of dust. By connecting HEYLO filter ventilators to the DCD 3.0 outside the work area, negative pressure is created in the area to be renovated which prevents the distribution of fine dust in adjacent rooms. As soon as the filter ventilators are installed in the working area at the place where dust is formed, the dust suctioning function begins.
Easy to transport and quick to install, the Dust Protection System DCS saves time, money and complications. Time consuming subsequent cleaning as is the case in water supported systems is not necessary - just clean or knock off the dust and dirt from the filters used.
Attention: In the case of contaminated air, H 13/H14 filters must be disposed of if used (see Section on "Installation guidelines").

4. Assembly
Use of the adapter
If the door to the area to be renovated is wider than 830 mm, the corresponding extension adapters A, B, C or D are fitted on the DCD 3.0 depending on the door width.

Assembly DCD-3.0
If required the closing caps (E) should be removed before assembly (removal is not possible after assembly of the DCD!)
Hold the unit tight with the right hand on the holding grip (F) at the back and with the left hand on the tightening knob (G).
The tightening lever (G) is then fitted at 90° to the unit. The system has now been loosened and can be roughly adjusted in the door. The side with the tightening lever points towards the black are during this procedure.
The unit is fixed tightly into the door by tightening the tightening knob (G).
The PVC sheets (H) supplied with the unit are now attached in line with the door width to the DCD. The first PVC-sheet H is now being fixed to the adhesive and pushed behind the fastening clamps (J), then clamped tight using the knurled screw (K). After this clamp the second sheet overlapping roughly 20 cm, also behind the fastening clamps (J).
If necessary, both sheets (Length, 2 m) can be shortened with a cutter.
Now – depending on the use (see Section 5) – one or two hoses (∅ 203 mm) can be drawn through the openings of the DCD.
There are now different possibilities of using the Dust Protection System DCS. Depending on the use (see Section 5), filter ventilators can be installed and connected in the white or black area. The DCS is now ready to operate.
Dust Protection System DCS
The DCD 3.0 is combined with filter ventilators, appropriate filters, hoses and hose adapters to form a complete system "DCS".
The following products are recommended as filter ventilators by HEYLO:
■ DCS-PV 3000 – Ventilator PowerVent 3000 (Air volume 3.102 m³/h)
■ DCS-FT 500 – Air filter FT 500 (Air volume 850 m³/h)
■ DCS-FT 1000 – Air filter PowerFilter 1000 (Air volume 1.100 m³/h)
■ DCS-FT 1400 – Air filter PowerFilter 1400 (Air volume 1.400 m³/h)
■ DCS-FT 3500 – Air filter PowerFilter 3500 (Air volume 3.200 m³/h)

Fitted with sheets and closing caps, the DCD 3.0 is used to partition off wall openings.

Permanent pressurisation
A combination of one or two filter ventilators and a hose connection installed in close proximity to the DCD 3.0, results in the Dust Protection System DCS for permanent pressurisation in the suctioning process. The number and size of the filter ventilators used is determined by the size of the black area to be partitioned off in each case. A HEYLO expert can advise on project planning for the respective system if required.

Suctioning off particles from the black area
If dust is to be suctioned off at the place it is formed, the filter ventilator must be installed at this spot in the black area and the cleaned exhaust air in the pressurising process must be conducted through a hose through the DCD 3.0 into the white area. At the same time, negative pressure is formed in the black area through this installation preventing penetration of dust into the white area. In the case of larger rooms or stronger accumulation of dust, up to 2 filter ventilators can be connected to the DCD 3.0 in the exhaust air process, if necessary also suctioning in the white area. Additional filter ventilators can also be installed in the circulating air process in the black area. A HEYLO expert would be glad to advise you in project planning of the respective system.
If the exhaust air hoses hinder work in the black area, they can possibly be mounted using telescope rods.

6. Installation guidelines
The laws of the respective country must be observed for installation and use of the DCD 3.0 and DCS. In Germany, the following regulations must be observed in particular:
■ Health and Safety at Work Act §§ 5 und 14
■ Health and Safety at Work Directive ASR 5
■ Accident Prevention Regulations VBG 43
■ Hazardous Substances Ordinance dated 01.01.2005
(can be obtained from: Deutsches Informationszentrum für technische Regeln (DITR) (German Information Centre for Technical Regulations) at DIN, Burggrafenstraße 6, 10787 Berlin).
HEYLO will not assume responsibility for damages arising out of inappropriate installation and use of DCD 3.0 and DCS going against the regulations.
Shutting down and disposal
HEYLO devices are designed for many years of use. Disposal in the future must take place in an environment friendly manner in accordance with the current and relevant laws.
