Frequently Asked Questions - FR9010130B OLIA 1000 SUPRA

How to install the SUPRA OLIA 1000 wood stove?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Respect safety distances from combustible walls (minimum 50 cm) and ensure the flue is compliant (diameter 150 mm). The floor must be protected with a fireproof material.
What type of wood to use?
Use dry wood logs (moisture below 20%), preferably hardwoods (oak, beech, hornbeam). Avoid softwoods that dirty the flue. Maximum length: 33 cm.
How to clean the stove glass?
Clean the glass with a soft cloth and a special stove glass cleaner or a mixture of water and white vinegar. Never rub dry. Wait until the stove is cold.
How often should the flue be swept?
Sweeping is mandatory at least once a year, preferably before the heating season. Call a certified sweep.
What to do if the stove smokes or draws poorly?
Check that the flue is not blocked, the door is properly closed, and the primary air intake is open. Insufficient draft can also be due to a too short or poorly insulated flue.
How to light the stove correctly?
Place kindling and firelighters in the center, then arrange logs in a crisscross pattern. Open the air intake fully. Once the fire is well established, reduce primary air and use secondary air for combustion.
Can the stove be used as main heating?
Yes, with a power of 10 kW, it can heat a house of 80 to 120 m², depending on insulation. It is recommended to combine it with an air distribution system or a masonry stove for better thermal inertia.
Where to find spare parts for the SUPRA OLIA 1000?
Spare parts (glass, seals, grate, ash pan) are available from approved SUPRA dealers or on specialized websites. Use the model reference FR9010130B to identify the part.
What is the average lifespan of this stove?
With regular maintenance, a SUPRA wood stove can last 15 to 20 years. Wear parts (seals, glass) are replaceable.
Is the stove compatible with an existing insert or chimney?
Yes, the SUPRA OLIA 1000 can be connected to an existing chimney flue provided it is in good condition and up to standard. A liner is often necessary to ensure tightness.
