USER MANUAL RPB1000 LEXIBOOK

Play the classic store game with your new Barbie cash register! Read the following instructions to discover all the functions of the Barbie Fashion Cash Register. Ask an adult to read and understand the safety instructions.

Using a screwdriver, insert 3 AA batteries in the battery compartment located under the cash register.

Press the On/Off key to turn the cash register ON.

To scan an item, press the button on the handheld bar code scanner. You will hear a "beep" sound, and the flower will light up.

Press the category key corresponding to the item scanned.

Press the key for food & beverage; the icon is shown.

Press the key for toys; the icon is displayed on screen.

Press the key for fashion & accessories; the icon is shown.

Press the key for electronics; the icon is displayed on screen.

Enter the price of the item using the number keys followed by the + key. The icon is displayed onscreen. Perform other calculations as you like.

If you are unsure of the price of an item or need assistance, press the flower button to activate the amplifier function, and speak in the microphone.

Press the = key to get the sum of all purchases. The icon is displayed onscreen.

If the customer uses cash to pay for the purchase, press the key. The icon is shown. The cashier drawer will open. You can also press the drawer open key to open the drawer at anytime.

If the customer wishes to pay by credit card, swipe the credit card in the card reader.

Battery Information

The Barbie Fashion Cash Register works with 3 × 1.5v --- AA/LR6 batteries. Ask an adult to help you to find and install the correct batteries.

1. With the help of a screwdriver, open the battery compartment door located under the unit.
2. Install the 3 × 3 AA batteries observing carefully the polarity indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment, and as per the diagram shown opposite.
3. Close back the battery compartment and tighten the screw.

Do not use rechargeable batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. The supply terminals are not to be short circuited. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Remove the batteries if you are not going to use the game for a long period of time. WARNING: If the unit malfunctions or receives an electrostatic shock, use a blunt object (the tip of a paper clip for example) to press the RESET key located at the back of the unit. If that proves ineffective, remove the batteries and insert them again.

Microphone button - to activate the amplifier function.

Power key - to turn the unit On/Off. Note: the cash register will auto-power off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Clear key - to reset a calculation.

1 2 3 Number keys - press to enter amounts.

Division - press to perform a division.

Multiplication - press to perform a multiplication.

Addition - press to add an amount.

Subtraction - press to subtract an amount.

Decimal point - press to enter cents or decimals.

Result key: to get the result of a calculation.

Cash payment - press this key to indicate a cash payment.

Volume switch - located at the back of the cash register, set the switch to (no sound effects), (low volume) or (high volume).

Maintenance & Warranty

Only use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the unit. Do not use detergent. Do not to expose the unit to direct sunlight or any other heat source. Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not dismantle or drop the unit. Do not try to twist or bend the unit. If the unit malfunctions, try to change the batteries first. If this proves to be ineffective, read the instruction manual again.

NOTE: please keep this instruction manual, it contains important information. This product is covered by our 2-year warranty. For any claim under the warranty or after sale service, please contact your distributor and present a valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers any manufacturing material and workmanship defect, with the exception of any deterioration arising from the non-observation of the instruction manual or from any careless action implemented on this item (such as dismantling, exposition to heat and humidity, etc.). It is recommended to keep the packaging for any further reference. Not suitable for children under 36 months old, as it contains small detachable elements which could be swallowed. In a bid to keep improving our services, we could implement modification on the colours and the details of the product shown on the packaging. This toy is recommended for children ages 3 to 6.
