How to install the FTCO 60 XS hood?
Installation should be carried out by a professional. Fix the hood to the wall respecting safety distances: at least 65 cm above an electric cooktop, 75 cm for gas. Use the supplied plugs. Connect the air outlet to an exhaust duct or install the charcoal filter for recirculation mode.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminium grease filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher at low temperature or by hand with warm soapy water. Let them dry completely before reinstalling. Perform this operation at least once a month.
When should the charcoal filter be replaced?
The charcoal filter is not washable. It should be replaced approximately every 6 months, or more often if the hood is used intensively. A saturation indicator may be present on some models.
How to change the LED bulb?
Unclip the diffuser by pressing on the sides. Disconnect the connector of the defective bulb and connect the new one. Replace the diffuser. Use only G4 3W LED bulbs recommended by Franke.
The hood is making noise, is this normal?
A noise level up to 65 dB at maximum speed is normal. If the noise is abnormal (squeaking, vibrations), check that the hood is securely fixed and that the filters are clean. A clogged filter can increase noise.
Can the hood be used in recirculation mode without a duct?
Yes, recirculation mode is possible by installing a charcoal filter (not supplied). The air is filtered then returned to the room. Make sure the room is well ventilated.
How to adjust the suction speed?
Use the mechanical sliders located on the front. Positions: 0 (off), 1 (low speed), 2 (medium speed), 3 (high speed). Adjust the speed according to the cooking.
Why is the hood not working?
