How to use the Beurer EC 70 SafePlus in an emergency?
Turn on the device by pressing the On/Off button. Follow the voice instructions: place the electrodes on the victim's bare chest as shown on the diagrams. The device automatically analyzes the heart rhythm. If a shock is advised, stand clear and press the defibrillation button. After the shock, perform CPR as instructed.
Where to place the electrodes on the victim?
The electrodes must be placed on the victim's bare chest. One electrode goes under the right collarbone, the other on the left side of the chest at the midaxillary line. The diagrams on the electrodes or on the device guide you.
Can I use the AED on a child?
Yes, the Beurer EC 70 SafePlus can be used on children over 1 year with adult electrodes. For children aged 1 to 8 years, it is preferable to use pediatric electrodes (not included). The device will deliver an appropriate shock.
How to maintain the defibrillator?
Regularly check the indicator light showing the device status. Clean the exterior with a soft dry cloth. Never immerse. Replace electrodes after use or by the expiration date. Check the battery: the light should be green.
What to do if the device does not turn on?
