How to charge the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active?

Remove the module from the band and connect the charging pins to the provided magnetic cable. Plug the cable into a USB adapter (5V/1A recommended). Full charging takes about 1 hour.

Is the Smart Band 8 Active waterproof?

Yes, it is rated 5 ATM, meaning it withstands pressure equivalent to 50 meters depth. You can swim in shallow water, but avoid hot water and high-speed water sports.

How to sync the band with my phone?

Download the Mi Fitness app on your phone. Enable Bluetooth, open the app, and follow the instructions to pair your band.

Can I change the watch face?

Yes, in the Mi Fitness app, go to 'Band settings' then 'Watch face selection'. You can download new ones from the watch face gallery.

How to measure heart rate?

From the watch face, swipe up or down until you find the heart rate icon. Tap to start measurement. Make sure the sensor is in contact with your wrist.

Does the band track sleep automatically?

Yes, the Smart Band 8 Active automatically detects your sleep (deep, light, REM). Data is visible in the Mi Fitness app in the morning.

How to reset the band?

Go to 'Settings' (gear icon) on the band, then 'Reset' or 'Factory reset'. Confirm with the touchscreen.

What is the battery life?

Typical battery life is 14 days with normal use (activity tracking, notifications). With heavy use (continuous heart rate, GPS), it can drop to 7 days.

Can I answer calls with the band?

No, you cannot answer calls directly. You can reject a call or trigger a callback from the band. Call notifications are displayed.

How to clean the band?

Use a slightly damp soft cloth (clean water) to clean the case and band. Dry it immediately. Avoid chemicals, alcohol, and abrasive cleaners.

Precautions

- Comfortably tighten the band around your wrist about one-finger width away from your wrist bone.

• When using the band to measure your heart rate, please keep your wrist still.
• The band has a water resistance rating of 5ATM (50 meters in depth). It can be worn in the swimming pool, while swimming near the shore, or during other shallow-water activities. However, it cannot be used in hot showers, sauna, or diving. Furthermore, remember to avoid the band being directly impacted by swift currents during water sports. The water-resistant function is not permanent and may decline over time.
• The touchscreen of the band does not support underwater operations. When the band comes into contact with water, use a soft cloth to wipe away excess water from its surface before use.
• During daily use, avoid wearing the band too tightly and try to keep its contact area dry. Please clean the wristband regularly with water.
• Please stop using the product immediately and seek medical assistance if the contact area on your skin shows signs of redness or swelling.
• This band is not a medical device, any data or information provided by the band should not be used as a basis for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
• The lithium polymer battery in this band cannot be removed. To avoid damage to the battery or the band, do not replace the battery by yourself. There is a risk of explosion if the wrong type of battery is used. Do not dispose of used batteries with household waste. Dispose of this band and used batteries as per local laws and regulations.
• Do not disassemble, strike, crush or throw the battery into fire. Stop using the battery immediately if there is any swelling or fluid leakage. Do not expose it to sunlight, fire, or environments where the ambient temperature is extreme heat.
• When planning not to use the band for a long time, turn it off and then put it away. To avoid damage caused by the over-discharge of the battery, fully charge the band every 6 months.
