How to send a simple fax?
Press FAX to switch to fax mode. Set desired functions (resolution, quality, etc.). Enter the recipient's number using the keypad, a programmable key, or the directory. Place the original in the feeder or on the exposure glass. Press START to begin transmission.
What to do if sending fails or the line is busy?
The fax will automatically redial (default once after 3 minutes). You can also perform a manual redial by pressing Redial in the directory or IN PROGRESS. If the failure persists, check the error message and refer to the Troubleshooting section.
How to schedule a delayed transmission to benefit from reduced rates?
Press APPLICATION, then Delayed TX. Enter the desired time (24-hour format, up to 24 hours in advance). Confirm, then set other parameters and select the recipient. Place the original and press START. The document will be stored in memory and sent at the scheduled time.
Why does a 'Reception Error' message appear?
This may be due to memory overflow, a paper jam, or a line problem. Check that there is paper in the tray, the paper path is clear, and memory is not full. If the problem persists, contact service support with the displayed error code.
How to use a confidential mailbox?
First register a mailbox (MB) in Administrator Mode with an access code. To send a confidential document, activate Box TX from the application screen, enter the mailbox ID and code. The document will be stored at the recipient's end until manually printed with the code.
How to send a duplex document?
On the fax main screen, press Mode, then set Original to Duplex or Cover+ 1-sided if the first page is a cover. Place the originals in the feeder with the printed side facing up. Transmission is done from memory.
What to do in case of a paper jam?
Follow the on-screen instructions. Open the cover, gently remove the jammed paper by pulling it in the feed direction. Close the cover and press STOP/CANCEL to clear the message. If jams recur, check the roller condition and the type of paper used.
How to set the reception mode (automatic or manual)?
Go to Administrator Mode by pressing CONTROL, then Line settings. Select Reception mode: Automatic for unattended reception, or Manual if an external phone is connected. Confirm with OK.
How to print a communication report?
In Administrator Mode, go to Report print. You can print the communication journal, transmission report, reception report, etc. Select the report type and press START to print.
How to replace paper or cartridge?
For paper: open the tray, insert paper (standard size A4, letter, etc.) and adjust the guides. For cartridge: open the front cover, remove the old cartridge, shake the new one and insert it. Follow on-screen instructions to confirm replacement.
