Frequently Asked Questions - HADG6DCS56B HAIER

How do I install the Haier HADG6DCS56B hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is mounted at least 65-75 cm above electric cooktops and 75-85 cm above gas cooktops. Use the provided template for drilling. Secure the chimney and connect to ductwork or activate recirculation with a carbon filter.
How often should I clean the grease filter?
The aluminum grease filter should be cleaned every month or more frequently if cooking heavily. Remove the filter and wash it by hand with mild detergent or in the dishwasher on a low-heat cycle. Dry it thoroughly before reinstalling.
Can I use the hood in recirculation mode?
Yes, the HADG6DCS56B can be used in recirculation mode. You need to purchase a carbon filter (sold separately). Install it as described in the manual. This mode is ideal when ducting is not possible.
What is the noise level of this hood?
The noise level ranges from 38 dB on the lowest speed to 58 dB on the highest speed (Boost). These levels are measured in a controlled environment; actual noise may vary depending on installation.
Does the hood come with a remote control?
No, the HADG6DCS56B does not include a remote control as standard. It is operated via a touch control panel on the hood. Some models may have an optional remote, check with your dealer.
How do I replace the LED bulbs?
Ensure the hood is disconnected from power. Remove the grease filter to access the bulb panel. Twist the faulty LED bulb counterclockwise and remove it. Insert a new 3 W LED bulb (GU10 base) and twist clockwise to lock. Reinstall the filter.
What is the maximum extraction rate?
The maximum extraction rate is 650 m³/h on Boost speed. This is suitable for medium to large kitchens. The hood has three normal speeds plus a boost function for intensive cooking.
Is the hood suitable for use over a gas stove?
Yes, it is suitable for gas stoves. Ensure the minimum distance from the stove is 75 cm. The hood must be installed with proper ventilation to prevent gas accumulation.
How do I reset the filter cleaning indicator?
After cleaning or replacing the filter, press and hold the 'Filter Reset' button for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off. Refer to the manual for exact button location.
Where can I find spare parts for this hood?
Spare parts such as grease filters, carbon filters, and LED bulbs are available from authorized Haier service centers or online retailers. Use only genuine parts to ensure performance and safety.

MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning switch the unit off and pull out the plug.

I. Regular Cleaning

Use a soft cloth moistened with hand-warm mildly soapy water or household cleaning detergent. Never use metal pads, chemical, abrasive material or stiff brush to clean the unit.

II. Monthly Cleaning for Grease Filter

ESSENTIAL: Clean the filter every month can prevent any risk of fire.

The filter collects grease, smoke and dust..... so the filter is directly affecting the efficiency of the cooker hood. If not cleaned, the grease residue (potential flammable) will saturate on the filter. Clean it with household cleaning detergent.

III. Annual Cleaning for Activated Carbon Filter

Apply SOLELY to unit that installed as a recirculation unit (not vented to the outside). This filter traps odors and must be replaced at least once a year

depending on how frequent the cooker hood used.

IV. Changing a light bulb

Remove the screws on the glass, take off the hood glass. Find the bulb that requires replacement, you will find it located in the light fixture which is inside the exposed section of the canopy.
