Frequently Asked Questions - BN1000W GORENJE

How do I clean the blender?
Unplug the blender. Remove the jug and lid. Wash them in warm soapy water or place them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
Can I blend hot liquids?
Let hot liquids cool to below 60°C before blending. Blending hot liquids can create pressure and cause the lid to blow off. Always start at low speed.
Why is my blender leaking?
Check that the sealing ring is properly placed under the blade assembly. Ensure the jug is tightly screwed onto the blade unit. Do not overfill beyond the max line.
How much can I fill the jug?
Do not fill above the maximum level marking. For hot liquids, fill only half to allow steam expansion.
What is the pulse function for?
The pulse function gives short bursts of power for chopping or crushing ice. Press the pulse button repeatedly for controlled blending.
Can I crush ice in this blender?
Yes, the BN1000W can crush ice. Use the pulse function with ice cubes and a little liquid. Do not fill more than 6 ice cubes at a time.
How to prevent overheating?
Do not run the blender continuously for more than 1 minute. Allow it to cool down for 2 minutes between cycles. The motor has overload protection that will shut off automatically if overheated.
Why does the blender not start?
Ensure the jug is properly locked onto the base. The safety lock prevents operation if the jug is not correctly placed. Also check that the power cord is plugged in and the outlet works.
Can I blend nuts or seeds?
Yes, but do not overprocess. Use short bursts to avoid overheating. For nut butters, add a little oil to help blending.
How to replace the blade assembly?
Contact Gorenje customer service for spare parts. The blade assembly is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to disassemble the blade unit yourself.
