How do I wash the heated blanket?

Disconnect the controller first. Wash the blanket in a machine at 30°C gentle cycle. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

Can I use the blanket all night?

The blanket has an automatic shut-off after 3 hours for safety. It is not recommended to use it while sleeping unattended, but you can restart it if needed.

What does the LED display show?

The display shows the selected heating level (1 to 6) and timer status. It also indicates the remaining time before automatic shut-off.

Is the blanket suitable for a double bed?

The blanket size is 150 x 80 cm, which fits a single bed. For double beds, consider a larger model.

How do I adjust the heat settings?

Use the + and - buttons on the controller to increase or decrease the heat level. The current level appears on the display.

What if the blanket stops working?

Check the overheat protection may have activated. Unplug, let it cool, then try again. If still faulty, contact SilverCrest service.

Can I dry clean the blanket?

No, do not dry clean as chemicals can damage the heating elements. Only machine wash as instructed.

How long does it take to heat up?

It reaches maximum temperature in about 10-15 minutes on the highest setting.

Is the controller waterproof?

No, the controller is not waterproof. Detach it before washing and never submerge it in water.

Can I use a different power adapter?

Only use the original adapter supplied with the blanket. Using another may cause malfunction or fire risk.

Please familiarise yourself with the heating pad before getting started and using it for the first time. To do so, please care-

fully read the following operating instructions and the important safety information. Use the heating pad only as described and for the stated areas of use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the heating pad on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.

Intendeduse

This heating pad is intended for applying heat to the human body. It can be used to apply heat to specific areas. This heating pad is not suitable for use in hospitals or for any other commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons, or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification of the heating pad are not permissible and may lead to injury and / or damage to the heating pad. The manufacturer assumes no liability for damage arising out of improper use.

Please observe these safety instructions and pass on this

operating manual together with the heating pad.

SCALDING HAZARD!

This heating pad may not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other persons in need of protection who do not respond to overheating (e.g. diabetics, persons with skin changes caused by illness or scarred skin areas in the application area after using analgesics or alcohol). There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

WARNING!

This heating pad may not be used by young children (3–8 years) unless the control unit was set by a parent or a supervising person and the child was adequately instructed on the safe use of the heating pad. There otherwise is a risk of burns.
This heating pad may be used by older children age 8 and up, and persons with diminished physical, sensory or mental capacities or lacking experience and knowledge when supervised and instructed on the safe use of the heating pad and understand the associated risks.
■ Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the heating pad. There is a risk of injury.
■ Children must not perform clean or maintain the product without supervision. There is a risk of injury.
■ This heating pad is not intended for hospital or commercial use.

• Do not use when wet! Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
  This heating pad may only be operated together with the control unit specified on the label. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
  The electric and magnetic fields emitted by this heating pad could potentially interfere with the functionality of your pacemaker. However, the levels are far below the permissible limits: electric field strength: max. 5000V/m, magnetic field strength: max. 80A/m magnetic flux density: max. 0.1 milli-Tesla. Therefore please consult your physician and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this heating pad.

• Do not pull, twist or kink the cables. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
  ■ Frequently check the heating pad for wear or damage. If signs thereof are detected, the heating pad was used improperly or will no longer heat up, it must first be inspected by the manufacturer before being switched on again.
  If the power cord of the heating pad is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service department, or a similarly qualified person, to avoid hazards.
  ■ With the heating pad switched on, never

- place objects on it (e.g. suitcases or clothes baskets),

- place a heating source such as a hot-water bottle, heating pad or similar items on it. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.

The electronic components inside the control unit will heat up whilst operating the heating pad. For this reason, the control unit must not be covered or be lying on the heating pad during operation. This poses a risk of injuries and / or damage to the heating pad.

■ Always observe the information on start-up, cleaning and care, and storage.

●Safetysystem

Note: The heating pad is equipped with a safety system. The electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heating pad from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches the heating pad off automatically due to a fault, then the function display 2 on the control unit 1 is no longer illuminated, even if the heating pad is switched on.

☐ Please note that, for safety reasons, the heating pad must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.

- Special features

The textiles used in this heating pad meet the high human ecological requirements of Öko-Tex Standard 100, as verified by

the German Hohenstein Research Institute.

- Start-up

Note: The heating pad may smell of plastic the first time you use it, but this will disappear after a short period of time.

☐ To begin, first connect the control 1 to the heating pad with the plug-in connector 3 (see fig. B). Note: the side of the casing 6 with built-in heating pad must be facing the body for optimal heat transfer.

- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature

Switching on:

☐ Set the control unit to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, to switch on the heating pad.

Note: The function display 2 illuminates after the heating pad is switched on.

Note: This heating pad features rapid heating, which allows it to heat up within the first 10 minutes of operation.

Switching off:

Set the control unit to 0 to switch off the heating pad.

Note: The operating display 2 will switch off.

Selecting the temperature:

☐ Just before using the heating pad, set it to the highest temperature setting (setting 6). This will cause the heating pad to warm up quickly.
☐ When using the heating pad for several hours, set it to the lowest temperature setting (setting 1).

WARNING! When operating the heating pad for several hours, we commend setting the control unit to the lowest setting to prevent overheating and potential burns to the part of the body heat is applied to.

●Automaticswitch-off

Note: The heating pad switches itself off automatically after about 90 minutes. The function display 2 then starts to flash.

☐ Then select the setting 0 and after about 5 seconds, reset the heating pad to the desired temperature setting to switch it on again.

If the heating pad is no longer used after the timer expires:

• switch off the heating pad (Setting 0),
• unplug from the socket,
• disconnect the plug-in connection 3, i.e. the control unit 1, from the heating pad.

- Cleaning and Care

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Always

remove the mains plug from the socket

and the plug-in connector 3 with the control 1 from the heating pad (see fig. B) before cleaning the heating pad. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

☐ Use a dry, lint-free cloth for control unit cleaning and care.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Never

immerse the control 1 in water or

other liquids. It may otherwise be damaged.

□ Always remove the inner cushion before cleaning the casing with built-in heating pad 6. Do so by opening the zip 5 (see Fig. B).

If slightly soiled, use a dampened cloth and a little liquid mild detergent, if necessary.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do

not clean with chemical cleaners or

scouring agents. The casing with built-in heating pad 6, the inner cushion 4 or the control unit 1 could otherwise be damaged.

The casing with built-in heating pad 6 is machine washable. Remove the inner cushion 4 before doing

so. Set the washing machine to an extra gentle washing cycle at 30 °C .

For ecological reasons, only wash the casing with built-in heating pad 6 along with other textiles. Use a mild laundry detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note that frequent washing of the casing with built-in heating pad 6 will cause wear. It should therefore only be machine washed a maximum of 10 times over its life.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY!

Please note he casing with built-in

heating pad 6 and the inner cushion 4 may not be dry cleaned, bleached, wrung out, tumble dried, mangled or ironed. Both parts may otherwise be damaged.

Do not bleach. Do not use any cleaning agents containing bleach (such as heavy duty detergents).
Do nordry in a tumbler dryer.
Do not run.
Do nor dry clean.
■ Reshape the still damp casing with built-in heating pad 6 to the original size immediately after washing, and dry flat, spread on a clothes drying rack.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Do not hang the casing with built-in heating pad 6 up to dry with pegs or similar. It may otherwise be damaged.
■ Reinsert the inner cushion 4 into the casing with built-in heating pad 6.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Only connect the control unit 1 to the heating pad if the plug-in connector 3 and the casing with

built-in heating pad 6 as well as the inner cushion 4 are completely dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE! Do not under any

circumstances switch the heating pad on to dry help it dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

Storage

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Let the heating pad cool before putting it away. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! To prevent the heating pad from becoming sharply creased, do not store other objects on top of the heating pad. The heating pad may otherwise be damaged.
☐ If you do not intend to use the heating pad for any length of time, store it in the original packaging in a dry environment and without weighing it down.

- Disposal

The packaging and ancillary packing consist of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

Do not dispose of electric equipment in the household waste!

In accordance with the European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical equipment must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out heating pad.

● Warranty / Service centre

We provide a 3-year warranty covering faults in materials or manufacture of the product from the purchase date.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage resulting from improper use.
  ·Wearparts.
• Defects that were known to the customer at the time of purchase.
• Damage for which the customer was responsible.

This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights.

The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty period to be honoured. Claims under the warranty are honoured

for a period of 3 years after the date of purchase.

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer has the right to have the goods repaired by our own workshop or a workshop authorised by us. The heating pad must not be opened for any reason. Opening or modifying the device invalidates the warranty. This warranty does not grant any additional rights to the customer. Complaints are often initiated by difficulties encountered during use.

Many of these complaints can be resolved by telephone or email. Please contact our Service Hotline in the first instance, before you return the device to the manufacturer.
