How to install the Denver CAU-438 in my car?

Disconnect the battery, remove the old car radio, connect the adapter harness (not included), insert the CAU-438 into the DIN slot, then reconnect the battery. Refer to the manual for the wiring diagram.

How to connect my phone via Bluetooth?

Enable Bluetooth on the car radio (BT source mode). Search for 'Denver CAU-438' on your phone and pair. The default PIN is 0000 if prompted.

Why doesn't the car radio turn on?

Check the vehicle and car radio fuses. Ensure the power connections (yellow for memory, red for ignition) are correct. The battery must be in good condition.

How to play music via USB?

Insert a USB drive formatted in FAT32 containing MP3/WMA/FLAC files. Select the USB source using the MODE button. Playback starts automatically.

How to set the clock?

Press and hold the DISP (or MENU) button until the time flashes. Turn the volume knob to set the hours, press again to switch to minutes, then confirm.

How to memorize radio stations?

Select the FM/AM band and tune to the desired station. Press and hold one of the 1-6 preset buttons to memorize. An audible confirmation sounds.

The screen stays black, what to do?

Check that the car radio is turned on (POWER button). If sound works but the screen is off, press DISP to toggle the display. Reset the device with the RESET button.

Can I connect a rearview camera?

Yes, the CAU-438 has a rear video input (RCA). Connect the camera to the 'REAR CAM IN' input (cable included). The video displays automatically when reversing.

How to reset the car radio to factory settings?

***IMPORTANT*** Please make sure the yellow wire is connected to the permanent live feed (+12V) of the vehicle battery for the preset memory's Disconnect negative battery terminal from battery before starting installation. Consult the vehicle owner's manual for proper instructions.

1. Install the Radio using the Din-Front Mount or Din-Rear Mount Method.
2. The Radio is equipped with ISO connector. ISO connector is the universal connector for the connection of car radio.
3. Make sure that you have a good chassis ground. Good ground connections will eliminate most electrical noise problems.
4. Please seek professional advice if you are in experienced installing this type of product.

WORKING WITH THE UNIT

1. USB Flashdrive & SD Card

Simply plug your USB Flashdrive or SD Card (or both) into the USB socket/Card slot. The contents will be played automatically. These can be removed at any time.

2.Aux-in Jack

The front Aux-in Jack can be used for connecting additional audio devices (i.e.MP3 players/lpods) to the unit The Aux-in cable (supplied with the unit) can be used for this connection. Simply connect one end into the Aux-in Jack and the other to your MP3/lpod.

3.Radio

Press the MODE button to select RADIO mode. You can press and hold the seek up/down button to search for your favorite stations, or you can press and hold the APS button to automatically scan the strongest stations and save them as presets. When it is on RDS mode, press PTY button to select suitable mode.
