Instructions for use

This device is only for household use and not suitable for gastronomy use. Carefully read the instruction manual first and keep it in a safe place.
Safety information
- Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. After using the appliance or if the appliance malfunctions, always pull out the plug.
- Never pull at the cord set. Do not chafe it over edges or squeeze it.
- Keep the power supply cord away from hot parts.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when operating. Do not put anything on the appliance.
- Do not leave the appliance outdoors or in a damp area.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not operate the appliance if it is damaged (for example if it fell down).
- The manufacturer is not liable for damage occurred by using the appliance in another way than described or if a mistake in operating has been made.
- To prevent injury, repairs such as replacing a damaged cord, should only be carried out by customer service.
- The appliance is not suitable to be used with an external timer or a separate remote control.

Never put hands, spoons or other items into the glass jar, when the appliance is plugged in or is working.
First steps:
Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth, rinse the glass jar and dry all parts.
The appliance must not be plugged in during the cleaning! Never try to insert the mixing insert without the glass jar into the appliance! Danger of injury!
The complete assembled glass jar can be easily put on the motor base. Take care, that the mixing insert is always screwed tightly to the glass jar, else a leakage can occur. When that happens, the appliance must be switched off instantly and dried. If liquid ran into the appliance, the appliance must be checked by an authorized service person.
Usage:
The motor is only working when the glass jar is positioned correctly on the motor base. Leave your hand on the lid of the glass jar when the appliance is started. If hot liquids are mixed a towel should be put on the lid to avoid any injuries by evaporating splashes or steam.
Should the appliance get blocked or work unusually slow, the appliance must be switched off, get unplugged and jamming food must be removed carefully by using a long spoon made from plastic. The glass jar and the lid must only be removed when the whole appliance fully stopped.
The appliance must never be used without food!
Food processing:
The appliance is not suitable as a juice extractor or to make minced meat!

Cleaning:
Fill warm water inside the glass jar, place the lid on the jar and leave the appliance working for some time. Put the switch to "0" (Off Position) and pull the plug to take off the glass jar. Remove the water from the jar and clean it completely. If there are still remains inside the jar or at the knives, then the mixing base can be screwed off and cleaned.
Attention: Knives are sharp and must not be bent! Rinse very carefully, dry afterwards and assemble the glass jar again (Take care that all sealings are used). Never put the knives on the motor base without the glass jar! Danger of injuries!
Grinder Art No. 99.17.00
A grinder is available for this appliance. It can be used for grinding herbs, nuts, etc.
Usage:
The food should be filled into the glass, then the connector with the knife must be screwed tightly to the glass. The complete unit should be put on the motor block with a slight turning until it sits fully on the motor block. The grinder must only be removed when the appliance has stopped completely. Never try to use the grinder without the glass. Danger of injury!
Usage example:
The grinder is suitable for small amounts.
Example:
Peanuts, almonds, coffee beans. The glass must not be filled completely, then it should be closed tightly with the connector with the knife and put it on the motor block. The Pulse button (P) should be pressed several times only for short periods until the food has the intended size. If necessary, remove the grinder from the motor block and shake it so that stuck food can be ground.
Pesto:
Leaves of basil, Parmesan cheese, pine seeds and olive oil should be put into the glass and must be closed with the connector, so that the oil cannot run out. For further steps, please see above.
Disposal:
Packaging disposal:
Do not throw away the packaging materials. Please put them in the recycling bin.



Gift box: Paper, should be put to the old paper collection point. Plastic packaging material and foils should be collected in the special collection containers.
