1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Warning: do not remove the cover to avoid the risk of electric shock. There are no parts inside that can be repaired by the user. Request assistance from qualified personnel.
Important Notices
Read this instruction manual carefully before using this appliance and keep it safe, as it might be needed for future reference.
Before turning on your appliance and ensure that it is used correctly by not operating it if:
- It has been dropped;
- You see any signs of damage;
- Any anomalies arise during operation;
It is recommended that you carefully read these instructions to prevent hazards and deterioration of your appliance due to incorrect use.
Your appliance must not be used for any purpose other than that envisaged in the instruction manual. It is only designed to be safe for domestic use, not commercial use. Incorrect use is not covered by the warranty and will void it automatically.
After use, turn off the electrical drive through its command device and do not rely on the pan detector.
Metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the surface of the plate as they may become hot.
The appliance is not designed to be operated by a timer or a separate remote control system.
This appliance is not expected to be used by persons whose physical, sensory or mental capacities are reduced (including children) or those with little experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised and under instruction related to the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be watched to make certain that they do not play with the appliance.
Assistance
If a fault occurs, ensure that your appliance is repaired by a qualified technician.

WITHOUT SUPERVISION.
1.1. Power Supply
- Check if the voltage from the power supply is compatible with the one indicated on the appliance. If it does not match contact an authorized service centre or call customer service.
1.2. Power Cables and Other Cables
Turn off your appliance when not in use.
Do not coil or pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, or use it to wrap the appliance. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces.
Do not use this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug or if it is not working properly.
If the power cable is damaged, do not use the appliance, take it to an authorized service centre to be replaced.
1.3. Humidity and Water
Do not allow water to pool on your appliance, as this could be dangerous. TO AVOID DANGER OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT EXPOSE THE APPLIANCE TO WATER OR HUMIDITY. Do not place your device under water (eg. washing).
1.4. Cleaning
- Set the hob cool and clean it completely, as dirt can be very difficult to remove when reheated.
- Use products that are suitable for cleaning glass-ceramic hobs.
- Do not use abrasive sponges or powder detergents that could scratch the glass surface.
- Do not use oven cleaning spray, as it is very aggressive and could damage the glass surface.
- The glass-ceramic hob should not be cleaned using steam or other similar methods.
- To remove minor dirt, use hot water and a little detergent, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth or paper.
- Remove any residual detergent, as it could damage the glass when hot.
- The use of an adequate spatula for cleaning glass is recommended for severe build-ups (see figure 5).
- Warning: If plastic objects, sugar or sugary foods melt onto the hob, they should be removed while hot using a spatula, taking care to avoid getting burnt.
1.5. General Precautions
- The installation of the appliance should be performed by qualified technical personnel knowledgeable of installation standards and regulations.
- It is very important that this instruction manual is kept with the machine in case of transfer of ownership.
- You should supervise children at all times of use to prevent them from touching hot surfaces or remain at the machine during operation.
- Prior to the maintenance and cleaning operations disconnect the appliance from power and wait until it is completely cool.
- The appliance's power cord must not be replaced by the user, this should perform exclusively by qualified technical personnel.
- In the case of repairs always contact an authorized Service Centre and demand original spare parts.
- Repairs carried out by non-competent personnel can cause damages.
- WARNING: If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance (acting on the protection device from the mains), to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
The hob is designed so as not to interfere with the operation of other electrical equipment, to the extent that the latter comply with the rules applicable to them.
The Induction hob generates magnetic fields in its vicinity.
To avoid interference between the hob and a pacemaker it is necessary that the latter has been designed in accordance with the applicable rules.
However we recommend that people using cardiac devices like pacemakers consult their doctor or the device manufacturer about any device incompatibilities.
If in doubt do not use a hob with induction.
2 USE AND OPERATION
2.1. Installation
Cut the work area, as per the measurements indicated in figure 1.
The hob should be installed on a completely flat surface to avoid the risk of breaking the glass.
Any reinforcements in the installation area must be removed.
Insert the hob into the opening in the furniture such that it is centralised.
To prevent seepage, apply the supplied sealant around the entire edge of the hob, ensuring that the ends touch without overlapping (see figure 2).
Do not use silicone to seal the hob, as this will make it impossible to remove if maintenance is required in the future.
Fix the hob in place with the supplied clamps.
Bolts should be tightened sufficiently to fix the hob in place (see figure 3).
The hob should be installed at a minimum distance of 50 mm from the rear wall and 100 mm from side walls.
If any furniture is suspended above the work area, it must be at minimum height of 600 mm above the hob.
If there is a piece of furniture higher than the hob, it must be at a minimum distance of 300 mm away.
Combustible materials, such as curtains, should be at a minimum distance of 500 mm away.
If the hob is installed above a drawer, there must be a division between the base of the hob and the drawer to avoid accidental contact with the hot base of the hob.
As a minimum, the hob must be installed at a height of 60 mm above the division or the oven installed immediately below it (see figure 4).
Ventilation
You must provide for the ventilation spaces indicated in figure 4, in particular, a hot air outlet at least 10mm in height in front and across the width of the plate and a fresh air inlet at the rear.
Both the fresh air inlet and the hot air outlet are essential for proper and efficient functioning of induction hob, extend life and prevent damage to property.
2.2. Electrical Connection
The appliance must be connected to the power supply by a technically qualified person in accordance with current safety standards.
Before turning the hob on, make sure that the electrical connections and protection devices are suitable for the appliance's technical characteristics.
Before making the electrical connection check that the domestic power supply and the limiting device support the appliance load (see appliance rating plate).
If the hob is installed above an oven, the electrical connections of the two appliances must be made separately, both to facilitate their extraction and for electrical safety reasons.
To connect the hob to the power supply, it is necessary to install a multiple-pole switch between the appliance and the network with a 3 mm minimum gap between the contacts, appropriate for the load and according to the safety standards.
The earth conductor, identified by the green / yellow colour, should not be interrupted by the switch.
The appliances are equipped with a power cord and are designed to operate with a frequency of 550/60 Hz.
According to the models, refer to the tables of technical features, the power supply can be single-phase, two-phase or three-phase.

The power supply cable must be positioned such that none of its points can reach a temperature in excess of 50irc C above room temperature.
Also ensure that the supply system is provided with effective grounding according to safety standards, and that the multiple-pole switch is available with the installed hob.
Do not use reductions, leads or adapters, since it can check overheating and fire hazards.
The manufacturer shall not be liable if current standards are not followed, and shall not be considered liable for damage and/or injury resulting from incorrect installation and/or use.
2.3. Use
If the glass breaks, disconnect the hob from the power supply.
Food wrapped in aluminium foil cannot be cooked directly on the glass.
Each work area is marked by an outline.
For cooking that does not require intense heat, take advantage of residual heat in the heating zones, digit "H" on the display.
Save energy by boiling liquids at the lowest possible power level.
Do not leave any objects on the hob's cooking zone, even if it is turned off.
2.4. Cookware
Cookware is an important part of the induction system.
Cookware properties are very important to the system results.
It is essential that the cookware has a completely flat base.
Aluminium or copper cookware do not function in this induction appliance.
Induction zones only work with ferromagnetic base cookware.
If a magnet is attracted to the base of the cookware, it is ferromagnetic and can thus be used in the induction heating areas, see Figure 7.
Pots and pans with thick bases and diameters similar to that of the heating area must be used
To avoid scratching the glass, cookware must not have rough bases and must be clean and dry before being placed on the glass-ceramic hob.
If unsuitable cookware is used, the thermostat will deactivate before the required temperature is reached. This will prolong cooking times and wastes energy.
It is recommended to cover cookware while cooking. This saves a considerable amount of energy.
We recommend the use of stainless steel cookware with a flat base with good heat conductivity, as this allows cooking times to be reduced.
The induction zones have a cookware detection system.
An induction zone will not work if there is not a container with a certain minimum size over it.

If you try to connect an induction zone without a cookware over it, or if it has a cookware too small, display 'U' will show a fault or the display will start flashing.
At the end of the cooking, turn off the zones on the sensor 'Off' of the digital command.
The aforementioned diameters refer to the induction of cookware with good induction characteristics.
Cookware with low capacity to be induced might need a higher diameter, which can be 35%.
2.5. Sensors
This appliance is equipped with electronic sensors that are activated by placing a finger over the symbols. Please note that you can only use one sensor at a time, except to disconnect an area acting simultaneously on the sensors "+" and "-". Do not place objects in the sensor zone; the sensor zone should remain clear to avoid errors. If there is an error, every zone should be disconnected and the residual heat indicators activated.

2.6. USE
Switching Off a hob
When a hob is operating the zones may be switched off pressing key (-) and (+) simultaneously. 0 shows on display and you hear a sound.

2.7 ACTIVATE POWER FUNCTION (BOOSTER ZONE)
Every zone has a power level 'increase power'.
Select the intended zone and with sensor (-) place zone on level 9.
Pressing sensor '+' of the selected zone you see a P 'power function activated'
The power function only works on the first 10 minutes and then it goes to level 9.

Blockage

For safety reasons, the zone deactivates automatically when a certain maximum operating time is exceeded. The maximum operating time depends on the level selected for the zone:

2.9. Timer Operation
The time value may be selected between 1 and 99 minutes, it is possible to select time for a zone in every power level (0 .. 9), the user may select just one zone at a time for the timer function.
Activate Timer:
Press timer sensor (+) or (-), there is a sound and the screen shows the symbol "timer" of 00 and the displays show a flashing "t", indicating that one zone has the timer activated.

You can only choose one zone at a time.

2.6. USE
Connect / Disconnect
To connect the hob press on / off button for 1 sec, after which there is an audible signal and 4 red dots appear one by each zone awaiting selection.
If after 10 sec you have not selected a zone to be used, the hob automatically disconnects.

To disconnect the hob just press on / off button for 1 sec, after which there is an audible signal and the red dots disappear from the display.

Select a zone pressing on the intended zone for a few seconds, there is an audible signal and the display shows the chosen power with luminosity. The zones that were not selected are disconnected. If more than one zone is connected, the selection concludes 10 seconds after the last touch on sensors (+) or (-) or if another zone is selected.
When the selection of zones is concluded, there is an audible signal and the display shows the chosen power of every selected zone with luminosity.
EG.:
1st Connecting the hon on connect / disconnect sensor

2nd Select the intended zone
Eg.: zone 2

When the selection time ends, if you did not select a power, a point appears on the display of every zone, indicating that it is awaiting the selection of zone
3rd Select power level

The selection ends if the chosen power is 0, the display disconnects.
The selection time ends if you did not select a power and a point appears on the display of every zone, indicating that it is awaiting the selection of zone.
You can only choose the power level via sensors (+) and (-) after choosing the zone to be used. There is an audible signal and the corresponding zone and the power level chosen appears on the display. The sensors (+) and (-) are blocked if:
No zone was chosen
If the block sensor is activated.
If the finger remains on the sensor, the action is repeated every second. Sensor (+) brings power level to 9 and sensor (-) brings power level to 0.
2.9 ACTIVATE POWER FUNCTION (BOOSTER ZONE)
Every zone has a power level 'increase power'.

2.10 SWITCHING OFF A ZONE
The selected zone may be disconnected pressing sensors (+) and (-) simultaneously.
There is a beep and the corresponding zone presents "☐" on its display.
2.11 BLOCKAGE
Press block sensor ( switch ), for 3 seconds, the blocking function is activated. A bright red signal appears next to the sensor.
2.12 UNBLOCK
Press block sensor ( switch ), for 3 seconds, the blocking function is deactivated. The bright red signal disappears.








2.12. TIME LIMIT IN OPERATION
For safety reasons, the zone deactivates automatically when a certain maximum operating time is exceeded. The maximum operating time depends on the level selected for the zone:

First select a zone, then choose power level (eg: 2) Press button (+), then press the sensor of the chosen zone again and there is an audible signal and the screen shows the symbol "timer" the displays show a flashing "t", indicating that one zone has the timer activated.
Example:
1st Switch on the Hob:

2nd Select the intended zone

3rd Choose the Power level

4th Select the zone to be timed

5th Select the intended time

After 10 s the symbol disappears and it goes back to the level selected previously
Selecting time
You can select between 0 and 99 minutes by pressing sensors (+) or (-).
The chosen time appears in the opposite zone to the chosen one.
If the zone chosen for time schedule is below, the selected time will appear in the top zone. If the time is not chosen within 10 seconds, or if the selected time is 0 after 10 seconds from touching the sensor (+) or (-) the timer automatically shuts off.
Beginning of time count
The count starts when you see the symbol "T" on the display or automatically after 10 seconds of touching the sensor (+) or (-).
There is a beep and the chose power appears on the display.
Time change
To change the selected time repeat process:
- Select the zone to set the time and mark the intended time
End of time
When the marked time ends, the programmer automatically disconnects, 0 appears on the display and there is a beep that lasts a minute.
Power Selection
This hob has an 'Eco power limit'.
The user may reduce the total power of the hob
When you switch the hob on the maximum power is 7200 W, this may be reduced by the user to 2800W, 3500W or 6000W.
Eco power limits selection
The sequence to choose a new power limit is:
- during the first 30 seconds after connecting the appliance to the power supply.
- The hob must be unblocked and every zone disconnected.
- simultaneouslypress the buttons for zone 1 and 3.

In this case the hob is prepared with a power limit of 7200 W

You can select other allowed limits for this appliance with sensor (-). 6000W, 3500W, 2800W or 7200W

To save the changes made to power limit simultaneously press the buttons for zone 1 and 3.

With Eco power limit active, every time the user tries to increase the power level, the total value of the hob power is calculated.
If this total power level is higher than the power limit previously selected, the power increase is not allowed. There is an error beep and the screen shows a "r" symbol for 3 seconds.
