GENERAL ADVISE

- This appliance is destined only to the heating of internal domestic or similar environments and in compliance with these instructions. It can be considered only a supplementary source of heating and not as a central heating element.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

  • staff kitchen in shops, offices and other working environments;
  • farm houses
  • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
  • bed and breakfast type environments

The appliance must not be used in dusty environments or in the presence of extremely volatile materials which could obstruct grids or heat exchanger, nor in very damp environments, in the presence of inflammable products, or out of doors in the open. Any other use is to be considered inappropriate and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for eventual damage caused by inappropriate, improper or irresponsible use and/or for repairs made to the product by unauthorised personnel.

  • The appliance gets hot when working; so only touch the handle and plastic Knobs. Avoid contact with the heating element.
  • Never move the appliance by pulling the cord.
  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.

CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fire, electric shocks and physical injury.
  • Unplug the appliance when not in use.

  • That the user must not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the supply.

  • Do not touch the heater with wet hands or feet.
  • Do not expose the heater to the weather (sun, rain, etc.)

  • Use this heating convector only and always in an upright position.
  • Ensure that the appliance can heat up; for this purpose, check that the air inlet and outlet openings are free from obstructions: do not leave anything hanging over or under the appliance. In the event of overheating, the incorporated safety device stops the convector heater from working.

INSTALLATION

  • After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the appliance; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger; but dispose of them in accordance with current law. Attention: please remove any adhesive or advertising sheet stuck to the aspiration and air grid or to the base before use the device.
  • Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate matches that of your electricity (220-240V\~50Hz). In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the appliance, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the appliance. In general, the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less than the maximum of the appliance.
  • Position the thermoconvector far from other sources of heat, inflammable materials (curtains, carpets, etc.), inflammable gases or explosive materials (spray cans) and from materials that can deform on exposure to heat. Make sure that there is 100 cm of free space in front of the appliance and 30 cm on the sides. Do not use the heater in places where it could be subject to shocks in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool to avoid drops of water falling on the heater or the heater falling in the water: If the appliance should accidentally get wet or be submerged in water, remove the plug from the supply socket immediately and dry the unit carefully. Check that no liquid has gone inside and if in doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel.
  • The support surface must be stable and not sloping (since the heater could tip over).
  • Make sure that the cable is correctly positioned, that it is not touching hot elements or sharp edges, is not wound around the utensil, is not twisted up on itself or in the way to prevent the utensil from being pulled over. Check that you cannot trip over to prevent accidental falls or harm to persons.
  • The appliance must not be positioned immediately under a socket.
  • Please pay attention to the aspiration and dissipation air grids, in order to avoid obstructions, fire risks or eventual device overheating. Please do not cover the device and do not use it to dry the linen.

  • Ensure that the fan works correctly: if this is not the case, switch off the appliance and have it checked by professionally qualified personnel.

  • The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency.
  • Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fire, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
  • In the case of a breakdown or fault, switch off the appliance and have it checked by a professionally qualified technician; repairs made by unqualified persons can be dangerous and render void the warranty.
  • All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician. Any faulty appliances should be returned to this service.

Portable installation

In order to use the appliance the two feet supplied must be fitted to the same by operating as follows:

- Always unplug the appliance before you assemble.

- Put the appliance down horizontally on a flat, smooth surface.

- Position the feet by inserting the hook into the slot on the side and make it run until the lower hooks block

- Secure their blocking using the screws supplied.

Wall installation

1) With wall installation, the wall to which the appliance is secured must be made of masonry and/or of heat-resistant material (not wood, or synthetic material which can easily overheat); also, follow these indications for the installation:
2) The appliance must be positioned so that the bottom side is away from the floor min. 90mm÷100mm max from the floor.
3) The upper grill is perfectly horizontal.
4) At a distance of at least 20 cm from the corners of walls.
5) At a distance of at least 100 cm from flammable materials (curtains, fabrics, etc.).
6) Not beneath socket outlets
- Fit two hooks (fig.2) to the wall at a distance of 51,2 cm apart and at least (see fig.2)
- Insert the metal bracket into the lower grill half way up the rear panel (vedi fig.3)
- Hang the convector heater on the wall by inserting the hooks into the slots provided in the rear panel (see fig.4)
- Mark the exact positioning of the hole at the centre of the metal bracket on the wall; make a hole in the wall and use a screw to secure the appliance to the wall in this way.

USE

Before each use, verify that the unit is in good condition, the electric cord is not damaged, if the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a competent qualified electrician or a person with similar qualifications, in order to avoid any risk.

Operate in the following way to use the convector heater:

1) Insert the plug in the socket
2) Turn the thermostat knob (1) clockwise to the position corresponding to the desired temperature.
3) To switch the appliance on, press switch (2) to heat using 1250 W, or switch (3) to heat at 750W or both to heat at 2000W.
4) To start the fan (4) press switch (4).

6) To switch the appliance off, return the switch buttons to the "0" pos. and turn the thermostat knob anticlockwise. Remove the plug from the power socket.

Never leave the appliance connected to the socket if it is not in use, especially for long periods.

Anti-frost device

Insert the plug into the power socket, press switches (2) and (3) and turn the thermostat knob to the anti-frost position (*): this permits convector heater switching on when the ambient temperature falls below +5°C.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention: before cleaning the appliance, switch off, unplug and wait for before it has completely cooled down.

  • Periodically check that the air-intake grill is not obstructed by fuzz or threads, to clean and maintain of the grid, it is possible vacuum cleaner paying attention not to damage the electrical resistance.
    • To clean the body use a soft damp cloth; do not use abrasive products.
  • For long periods of inactivity, you must cover it and place it in a dry place; it is advisable to put it in its original packaging to protect it from dust and humidity.
  • If you decide not to use the appliance any more, we recommend making it inoperative by cutting the power cord (after making sure you have disconnected the plug from the socket) and make dangerous parts harmless if children are allowed to play with them.
