How do I reset the ASUS DSL-N10E to factory defaults?

Press and hold the Reset button on the back panel for about 10 seconds until the power LED blinks. Release the button; the router will reboot with factory settings.

What is the default IP address and login credentials?

Default IP: 192.168.1.1. Username: admin. Password: admin (or blank). It is recommended to change the password after first login.

How do I set up wireless on the DSL-N10E?

Log into the web interface, go to Wireless settings. Enable wireless, set SSID, choose encryption (WPA2-PSK recommended) and enter a strong passphrase.

Can I use the DSL-N10E with a cable modem?

No, the DSL-N10E has an ADSL modem built-in, not a cable modem. It requires a telephone line with ADSL service. For cable, you need a separate modem.

How do I update the firmware?

Download the latest firmware from the ASUS support site. Log into the router, go to Administration > Firmware Upgrade, select the file, and click Upload. Do not power off during update.

What should I do if I forgot the wireless password?

Connect via Ethernet, log into the router web interface, go to Wireless settings to view or change the password. Alternatively, reset the router to factory defaults.

Does the DSL-N10E support IPv6?

Yes, the DSL-N10E supports IPv6 as well as IPv4. You can configure IPv6 in the advanced network settings.

How can I enable guest network?

Go to Wireless > Guest Network. Enable it, set SSID and security. Guest network isolates visitors from your main network.

Is the antenna detachable? Can I replace it?

Yes, the antenna is detachable with an RP-SMA connector. You can replace it with a higher gain antenna for better coverage.

What is the maximum wireless speed?

The maximum theoretical speed is 150 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band with 802.11n. Actual speeds vary based on distance and interference.
