Frequently Asked Questions - ICM812 ATLAS

How do I clean the blender properly?
To clean the blender, fill the jug halfway with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Run the blender on pulse for 10-15 seconds, then rinse thoroughly. The jug and lid are top-rack dishwasher safe. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No, do not blend hot liquids as pressure buildup may cause the lid to blow off and cause injury. Allow liquids to cool to room temperature before blending.
What is the maximum capacity for solid ingredients?
For solid ingredients like ice or frozen fruits, do not exceed 1 cup (200g) to avoid overloading the motor. For liquids, the maximum fill is 1.5 L.
The blender stops working during use. What should I do?
The blender has overload protection. Unplug it and let it cool down for 15-20 minutes. Reduce the load and try again. If it continues, check if the blade assembly is blocked.
Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, the stainless steel blades can crush ice. Use the pulse function in short bursts until the desired consistency is achieved. Do not add too much ice at once.
Is the blender BPA-free?
Yes, the jug is made from BPA-free plastic, safe for food contact.
The lid leaks while blending. What can I do?
Ensure the lid is securely locked into place. Check that the filler cap is properly closed. If the seal is damaged, replace the lid assembly.
Can I blend nuts to make nut butter?
Yes, but it may require scraping down the sides. Run the blender in short pulses and use a spatula to push ingredients toward the blades. Patience is key.
What is the warranty period?
The blender comes with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. For claims, contact the retailer or Atlas customer service with proof of purchase.
Are replacement parts available?
Yes, you can purchase replacement jugs, lids, blade assemblies, and filler caps from the Atlas website or authorized dealers.

SPEAKER INSTALLATION

MTX MUSICA Series speakers can be installed in either in-ceiling or in-wall applications allowing them to blend within any interior decorating scheme. Speaker placement is critical to maximizing the performance of the speakers within the system. Achieve the best stereo reproduction by installing two loudspeakers an equal distance from the listener's position and separated so that the speakers and the listener form an equilateral triangle, with all sides of the triangle being the same length. In multi-channel applications the same principle applies for both the front and rear speakers with the addition of a center channel speaker directly in front of the listener's position.

CUTTING THE SPEAKER HOLE

Before cutting any speaker holes, it is important to check for electrical wiring, plumbing, conduit, studs, or other obstacles that may exist in the intended installation spot. Remember that the grille and flange are larger than the speaker cut-out. Ensure there is room on all sides of the desired location to accommodate the entire speaker.

  1. Use the included cut-out template to mark the cut-out pattern on the wall or ceiling once it has been determined to be a safe location with no obstructions.
  2. Use a sabre saw, keyhole saw, or sharp utility knife to cut the hole following the traced pattern. Use caution when cutting the hole to prevent unnecessary damage to the surrounding surface.
  3. Clear the hole of any debris or other material that will prevent speaker installation.

INSTALLING THE SPEAKER

  1. Connect the speaker wires previously run to the install location ensuring that the ends are stripped and the inner copper wire is exposed. Press down on the compression terminals and insert the speaker wire into each terminal ensuring that polarity is maintained with the positive wire connected to the + terminal and the negative wire connected to the - terminal.
  2. The speaker includes four front panel Phillips screws that operate the dog legs that will attach the speaker to the ceiling or wall material.
  3. Using a screwdriver or power drill on low setting turn each screw clockwise until the dog leg firmly secures itself to the ceiling or wall material. Use caution to not overtighten the dog legs causing them to crack or break.
  4. Attach the included press-fit grille, make the speaker wire connections at the source, and turn on a signal to test the speaker(s).

PAINTING THE GRILLES

MTX MUSICA Series speakers include press fit grilles that can be painted to match ceiling or wall colors allowing them to blend into the room. Spray application will provide excellent results. The cloth inserts in the grilles should be removed before the grilles are painted and they should be placed back in the grilles once the paint is dry.

  1. Remove the grille from the speaker baffle.
  2. Fold up all grille flaps carefully.
  3. Push the grille out from the plastic trim.
  4. Remove the scrim cloth, making sure not to damage it. It will be needed when re-assembling the grille.
  5. Paint the grille and trim ring. Make sure not to fill in the grille holes as this will affect sound quality.

RE-ASSEMBLING THE GRILLES

The grill can now be re assembled into the speaker baffle.

  1. Place the scrim cloth on the inner side of the grille.
  2. Take the plastic trim and align the notches with the grille flaps.
  3. Push the grille into the trim until it sits flush.
  4. Fold over the grille flaps tightly so the grille is locked in place.
