Please read these instructions at your leisure and save them for future reference. The Princess Silver Health Blender is ideal for beating, mixing, pureeing, or crumbling all sorts of ingredients. We advise you to clean the blender, including the blades and lid, before rst use. Make sure your mains supply provides the correct voltage, as indicated on the bottom of the appliance.

TIPS FOR USE

The jug can be removed from the base motor and replaced using a turning motion (bayonet tting). The motor can only work if the blender is placed on the base, because of a safety switch. If the jug is removed from the base, the blender stops automatically. The safety switch is not intended for use as an on/off switch. Always first turn the blender off before removing the jug from its base.

You can choose between motor speeds 1 and 2. For extremely short processing, the motor can be switched on by turning the switch to the pulse setting (P). On this setting, the switch does not lock into place, so you must hold the switch in place.

Recommended speeds:

Pulse Crumbling

Keep in mind that a blender works in seconds, not in minutes. If the blender is on too long, the ingredients will be beaten to a pulp. The blender works best when only small quantities of food are processed at a time. Cut any larger pieces until no pieces are larger than 2 to 3 cm. Put the lid on the blender jug before switching it on, to avoid splashing. You can remove the stopper in the middle of the lid while using the blender in order to add some extra ingredient. It also serves as a measuring cup. This stopper can be placed in two positions in the lid. If the motor stops, or if food sticks to the side of the jug, the blender must be turned off. Wait until the motor has completely stopped, then use a wooden or plastic spoon or spatula to push the ingredients from the sides. If the motor begins to go audibly slower during use, it is best if you switch to a higher speed. After use, wash the jug and the blades immediately.

More tips:

• Do not store any food in the blender.
• Do not turn the blender on while it is empty.
• The blender is not suited for beating egg white, processing raw meat or dough, or juicing or cutting fruits or vegetables.

CLEANING

ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING. NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR BASE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.

Clean the blender after use; this prevents any remaining food from becoming caked on the blender. Do not use abrasive or strong detergents. The outside of the base can be wiped down with a damp cloth.

PRINCESS TIPS

• This blender is only suitable for household use.
• Make sure the cord or extension cord is carefully positioned to avoid people tripping over it.
• If the blender or the cord become damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance, but to return it to the store for repair. A damaged cord can only be replaced by our Service Department using special tools.
• Do not use this blender outdoors.
• Maintain good supervision over the blender when children may be around.
• Take care when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.
• Switch off the appliance and disconnect from power supply before changing accessories or touching parts that move when in use.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or motorial disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards. Persons responsible for their safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the use of the appliance.

1 medium-sized banana

6 ripe strawberries

1/4 cup (60 ml) of orange juice

1 medium-sized ripe peach cut into quarters

3 scoops of sorbet ice cream

1 cup (250 ml) of low-fat milk

Cold cappuccino

Speed: high

Ingredients

60 ml of cappuccino with Italian syrup

60 ml of coffee

60 ml semi-skimmed milk

30 ml of chocolate syrup or chocolate milk powder

500 ml of ice cubes (= 2 cups)

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.

The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

WARNING: ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD EITHER THE LIVE OR NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE EARTH TERMINAL
