When using your dishwasher, follow basic precautions, including the following:
- Readallinstructionsbeforeusingthedishwasher.
•Usethedishwasheronlyforitsintendedpurpose. - Useonlydetergentsorrinseagentsrecommendedforuseinadishwasherandkeepthem outofthereachofchildren.
- Whenloadingitemstobewashed: - positionssharpitemssothattheyarenotlikelytodamagethedoorseal,and - loadsharpkniveswiththehandlesuptoreducetheriskofcut-typeinjuries.
- Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked "dishwasher safe" or the equivalent. For plasticitemsnotsomarked, checkthemanufacturer'srecommendations.
- Donotoperatethedishwasherunlessallenclosurepanelsareproperlyinplace.
- Donottamperwithcontrols.
- Donotabuse, siton, or standard the door or dish rack of the dish washer.
• Toreducetheriskofinjury, donotallowchildrentoplayinoronadishwasher.
- Undercertainconditions,hydrogengasmaybeproducedinahotwatersystemthathasnot beenusedfortwoweeksormore.HYDROGENGASISEXPLOSIVE.Ifthehotwatersystem hasnotbeenusedfortwoweeks,beforeusingthedishwasherturnonallhotwaterfaucets andletthewaterflowfromeachforseveralminutes.Thiswillreleaseanyaccumulated hydrogengas.Asthegasisflammable,donotsmokeoruseanopenflameduringthistime.
- Removethedoorofthedishwasherwhenremovingthedishwasherfromserviceordiscarding it(sothatchildrencannotbecometrappedinside).
- Readthegroundinginstructionsintheinstallationinstructions.
General
- Donotrunthedishwasherwhileyouareoutofthehome.
- Donotstoreorusecombustiblematerials, gasoline, orotherflammablevaporsandliquidsin thevicinityofthisoranyotherappliance.
- Disconnectelectricalpowertodishwasherbeforeservicing.

Childsafety
- Always keep small children away from the machine when it is open. There may be some detergent residueleftinsidethemachine.
- Alwaysclosethedoorandstartthedishwasherassoonasyouputinthedetergent.
- If dishwasher detergent gets in someone's eyes, rinse them with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
- Should a child swallow dishwasher detergent or rinse aid, give plenty to drink immediately, i.e., oneortwoglassesofmilkorwater.Donottrytoinducevomiting.Seekmedicaladvice immediately:CalltheNationalPoisonControlCenterat1-800-222-1222.

Dishwasherdetergentsandrinseaidsarecorrosive,soalwayskeepthemoutofreachofchildren.
Childlock
You can activate the Automaticchildlocksetting to prevent children from starting the dishwasher. See the chapter Settings. You can also temporarily activate and deactivate the Child lock function. Press and hold and forth three seconds.

Overflowguard
Theoverflowguardstartspumpingoutthewaterandturnsoffthewatersupplyifthewaterlevelin thedishwasherexceedsthenormallevel.Iftheoverflowguardistriggered,F54(Overfillingwater) appearsonthedisplay.TurnoffthewatersupplyvalveandcontactyournearestCustomerCare Center.(Toavoidwaterleakageoutsidethedishwasher,donotremovetheplugfromthepower outletuntilthewatersupplyvalvehasbeenturnedoff!)
Winterstorage/Transport
Storethedishwasherabovefreezingandavoidlongtransportdistancesinverycoldweather. Transportthedishwasheruprightorlayingonitsback.
Before transporting a used dishwasher, or before prolonged storage, water must first be trained from the machine.
Packingmaterial
Theouterpackagingprotectstheproductduringtransport.Thepackagingmaterialisrecyclable. Separatethedifferentpackagingmaterialstohelpreducerawmaterialuseandwaste.Yourdealer cantakethepackagingforrecyclingordirectyoutothenearestrecyclingcenter.Thepackaging iscomprisedof:
- Corrugatedcardboardmadefromupto 100% recycledmaterial.
- Expandedpolystyrene(EPS)withnoaddedchlorineorfluorine.
•Supportsmadefromuntreatedwood. - Protectiveplasticmadefrompolyethylene(PE).
Important safety instructions
Disposal
Thedishwashermanufacturedandlabeledforrecycling.Whenthemachinehasreachedtheend ofitsservicelifeandistobedisposedof,itshouldimmediatelybemadeunusable.Pulloutthe powercordandcutitasshortaspossible.
Contact your municipality for information about where and how your dish washer can be recycled correctly.

Waterhardness
Inordertoachievegooddishwashingresults,thedishwasherneedssoftwater(waterwithlowmineral content).Hardwaterleavesawhitecoatingondishesandthedishwasher.
Checkingwaterhardness
Contact the local water utility to check the water hardness in your area. This is important to determine how much detergent and rinse aid to use.
Ingeneral, morerinseaid and detergent are needed for hard water.

Runafullyloadeddishwasher
Saveenergyandwaterbywaitinguntilthedishwasherisfullbeforerunningaprogram. Use the Rinseandholdprogramtorinsethedishesifthereareanyunpleasantodors.
YoucanalsousetheAnti-odorprogramtopreventbadodorsfromdirtydishesleftinthedishwasher.
Runprogramsatalowertemperature
Ifthedishesareonlylightlysoiled,youcanselectaprogramwithalowertemperature.
Selectdishwashingprogram—Eco
This program is most effective in terms of energy consumption.
Selection-Autodooropen
BetterdryingresultsareachievedifyouusetheAutodooropenoption,whichautomaticallyopens thedishwasherdoor.Waituntilthedishwasherindicatesthattheprogramhasendedandthedishes havecooledbeforeunloadingthedishwasher.
Connecttocoldwater
Connectthedishwashertothecoldwatersupplyifthebuildingisheatedusingoil,electricity,or gas.
Connecttohotwater
Connectthedishwashertothehotwatersupply(max.160°F(70°C))ifthebuildingisheatedusing anenergy-efficientmeanssuchasdistrictheating,solarpower,orgeothermalpower.Choosinga hotwaterconnectionreducethedishwasher'senergyconsumption.
NOTE!
Donotexceedthepermittedwatersupplytemperature.Certainmaterialsusedinsomecookware cannot withstand high temperatures. See Fragile dishes in the chapter Loading the dishwasher.
Loadingthedishwasher
Fragiledishes
Somecookwareisnotdishwashersafe. This can be for several reasons. Somematerials cannot withstand high temperatures, others can be damaged by dishwasher detergent.
Usecautionwith,forexample,handmadeitems,China,crystal/glassware,silver,copper,tin,aluminum,wood,andplastic.Lookforthe"Dishwashersafe"marking.
China
Porcelainwithdecorationontopoftheglazing(theitemsfeelrough)shouldnotbewashedina dishwasher.
Crystal/Glass
Userinseaidtoimprovewashanddrytimes.Alsouserinseaidtoachieveclearandspotlessresults.
Hand-paintedglassware, as well as antique and very fragile items, should not bewashed in dishwasher.
Silver
Silverandstainlesssteelitemsshouldnotcomeintocontact, asthesilvercanbecomediscolored.
Inordertoavoidmarksandtarnishing,separatedishesmadefromdifferentmetals,suchassilver, stainlesssteel,andaluminum.
Aluminum
Aluminumcanloseitsshineifwashedinadishwasher. However, good quality aluminumpanscan bewashedinadishwasher, even if some of the shinewillbelost.
Cutlerywithgluedhandles
Sometypesofgluearenotdishwashersafe.Insuchcases,thehandlesmayloosen.
Loadingaffectstheresults
Loadthedishescarefullytoensurethebestwashinganddryingresultswiththelowestpossible energyandwaterconsumption.Giveyourdishwasherthebestchancetoreachandcleanallsurfaces, aswellastodrythedishesasthoroughlyaspossible.
- Allirtysurfaceshouldfaceinandown.
- Dishesshouldnotbeplacedinoroneachother.
- Angle dishes with hollows, such as cups, so that the rinse water will run off. This is also important for plastic items.
- Placetheupperbasketinitshighestpositionwhendishwashingverylargeplates.
- Make sure small items cannot fall through the dishwasher basket; place them in the top cutlery tray.
NOTE!
Checkthatthesprayarmscanrotatefreely.
Thedishwasher'sbaskets
Thedishwasherincludesatopcutlerytray,anupperbasket,andalowerbasketwithacutlerybasket.
Thebasketappearancemaydifferdependingontheconfiguration.
Topcutlerytray
Thetopcutlerytrayaccommodatescutlery,ladies,whisks,andotherutensils.
Avoidplacingtallobjectsinthetopcutlerytray.Theycanblockthetopsprayarm.

The Autodooropenoption is important for ensuring the best drying results.

Time
The program adapt to the specified running time or finish time. With this program, it is important to choose times suited to how dirty the dishes are.

Sanitize
This program is recommended for baby bottles and cutting boards when additional sanitation is required. The temperature is high in them, main wash and in the final rinse.

Rinseandhold
Usetorinsedisheswhileyouwaitforthedishwashertobecomefullyloaded.

Self-cleaning
Self-cleaningprogramforsanitizingthedishwashertub,sprayarms,andspraypipes.
This program should be run (with nodishes in the machine) using regular dish washer detergent or citric acid. Special dish washer cleaners are also available in stores. For theremoval of limescale deposits, see Dishwasher tub in the chapter Care and maintenance instructions.

Anti-odor ^3)
This program prevents bad odors from dirty dishes left in the dish washer. Only the dish washer's fan is activated (at regular interval so over a period of 72 hours).

Selectprogrammode
Press scrolling through the available program modes. The symbol is dimly lit in available program modes and glows brighter when a program mode has been activated. (The program modes you can select vary between programs.)
▶▶ Speed
The program time is shortened, but the dish washer uses more energy.
Night
Lowernoiselevelduringthedishwashingprogram. The program time is extended.
Heatboost
The higher temperature dissolved dissolves grease on very dirty dishes, but the dishwasher consumes more energy and water. The program time is extended.
Selection
Availableoptionsaredimlylit.Selecttheoptions(,)toactivatethem.Theoptionsglowbrighter whenactivated.(Theoptionsyoucanselectvarybetweenprograms.)
Autodooropen
Thedishwasherdooropensautomatically, which shorten the program time and improves the drying results. Wait until the dishwasher indicates that the program has ended and the dishes have cooled before unloading the dishwasher.
The drying time of the Autodoor open option varies (from 5 to 90 minutes) depending on the model, program, and temperature of the final rinse.
TheAutodooropenoptionispre-selectedforsomeprograms.
3) ActivateOdorcontrolinthedishwasher'sSettingsmenu.SeetheSettingschapter.
NOTE!
Forthebestdryingresults, donotclosethedoorbeforethedryingphasehasfinishedandthe machinehasautomaticallyswitchedoff.

WARNING!
Thedishwasherdoormustnotbeblockedorclosedwhenopenedautomatically.Doingsomay damagethedorlockmechanism.Waitatleast5minutesbeforeclosingthedoor.
Delayedstart
WhenyouselectDelayedstart, the dishwasher will start 1-24 hours after you have pressed and closed the door.

- PressocetoactivateDelayedstart.Pressseveraltimes,orholditin,tosetthedesired numberofhours.
- Press and closetedoor. Thetimercountsdownandthedishwasherstartsaftertheselected delay.
If you want to cancel the Delayed start option, open the do or then press and hold for three seconds.
▷ □ Start/Stop
Press until the display shows "Program started, closed door in 4 sec". This indicates that the dishwasher is ready to start. Closetedoor properly within four seconds, otherwise dishwasher will not start.
If the dish washer is not started or the door is not closed within 2 minutes of the last time the control panel was pressed, them machines switches off.
Cancelorchangingaprogram
If you want to chan the program after starting the dish washer, opened out then press and hold forth reese seconds. Add more detergentifth elid of the detergent dispenser has opened. Then choose an new program, press, and closed the door within four seconds.
Timeremaining
Once you have chosen a program, program mode, and options, the time the program took when last used is displayed.
Statuslight
Thestatuslightatthebottomonthedishwasherprovidesinformationbymeansof3differentcolors.

Powerfailure
If the dishwasher is turned off due to a power failure when adish washing program is running, the program continues when power is restored. If the power is lost during drying, the program is interrupted.
If you opened the door form more than 2 minutes during drying, the program will be interrupted.
Oncetheprogramhasfinished
Theendoftheprogramisindicatedbyoneshortsignalfromthebuzzer. Thechapter Settings describeshowtochangethisfunction.
Moreover, the end of the program is indicated by the status light turning green.

1.Startbymeasuringtheheightfromthefloortothebottomedgeofthecountertop.
2. Measure the height from the floor to the top edge of the dishwasher.
3. Leanthedishwasherforwardalittleandadjusttherearfootwiththescrewatthefrontofthe dishwasher.Turnclockwisetolowerorcounterclockwisetoraise.

Max 0.6 Nm- Adjust the front feet by turning them clockwise or raise and counterclockwisetolower the dishwasher.

2x 1" 5/8"- Verify there is an air gap of at least 1/8" between the underside of the countertop and the top edge of the dish washer.
6.Slidethedishwasherintoplace.
- Pullthesupplyanddrainhosesandthepowercordwhenslidingthedishwasherintoplace.
- Check that the rainhose has no kinks or sharp bends. Also check that there is nothing that candamagethe hoses.

Drainconnection

Connectiontowatersupply
Useonlytheinlethosesuppliedwiththedishwasher.Donotre-useoldorothersparehoses.
Thesupplypipemustbefittedwithawatersupplyvalve. Thewatersupplyvalvemustbeeasily accessible, so thatthewatercanbeshutofffifthedishwasherhastobemoved.
Oncetheinstallationiscomplete,turnonthewatersupplyvalveandallowthepressuretosettlefor awhile.Checkthatallconnectionsarewatertight.
Watersupply
Themachine can be connected to either acoldorahot (max. 160°F(70°C)) watersupply. The water pressures should be 4.2-140 psi (0.03-1.0 MPa).
Connecttocoldwater
Connectthedishwashertothecoldwatersupplyifthebuildingisheatedusingoil,electricity,or gas.
Connecttohotwater
Connectthedishwashertothehotwatersupply(max.160°F(70°C))ifthebuildingisheatedusing anenergy-efficientmeanssuchasdistrictheating,solarpower,orgeothermalpower.Choosinga hotwaterconnectionreducethedishwasher'senergyconsumption.
NOTE!
Donotexceedthepermittedwatersupplytemperature.Certainmaterialsusedinsomecookware cannot withstand high temperatures. See Fragile dishes in the chapter Loading the dishwasher.
Electrical connection
Informationabouttheelectricalconnectioncanbefoundontheserialnumberplate.Thisspecification mustmatchtheelectricitysupply.
The power outlet for the appliances shall be installed in a cabinet or on a wall adjacent to the undercounterspace in which the appliance is tested. Donot use an extension cord for this appliance.
Theaccessholefortheelectricalsupplymustberoundandsmoothandnobiggerthan11/2" (38mm)indiameter.Ifthepartitionismetal,itneedstobecoveredwithanedgeprotector.
Usecautionwhentheapplianceisinstalledorremovedtoreducethelikelihoodofdamagetothe powercord.
Groundinginstructions
This appliancemustbegrounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for electric current. This appliance is equipped with power cord fitted with an equipment grounding conductor and grounding plug.
