TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

with Computer Vision Technology

Most thermal cameras on the market are designed for industrial use. Temperature detection can allow up to +/- 2 degrees of deviation, which in practice is not accurate enough for body temperature detection during a pandemic. To solve this problem, ZKTeco combines technology with infrared temperature detection to provide accurate and fast temperature detection during user verification.

MASK DETECTION

Fast and accurate facial recognition by visible light with large tolerance angle for surgical mask detection

At present, the use of masks is an essential precaution before entering high-traffic areas such as offices, shopping centres or stations, among others. People who do not wear a mask can have a very negative effect on the spread of the virus since the drops that we give off through our nose and mouth are the easiest way to spread the disease.

With the help of Computer Vision technology, ZKTeco's systems can identify whether the user is wearing a mask, while performing facial or palm recognition at the same time, quickly and effectively, setting alarms or opening doors depending on the desired configuration.

For this reason, many governments and institutions have decided to make its use mandatory in all enclosed spaces and sometimes even in the open air. With the help of Computer Vision technology, ZKTeco's systems can identify whether the user is wearing a mask, while performing a facial or palm recognition at the same time, quickly and effectively, setting alarms or opening doors depending on the desired configuration.

3-in-1 palm recognition

The palm verification method is a new non-contact identification technique that allows an angle tolerance of up to +/- 60° on the axes and a recognition distance of 50 cm. This makes it the ideal verification technology as it eliminates any hygiene concerns while maintaining an accurate and effective biometric recognition quality, without the need to touch any sensors.

Facial recognition

Facial recognition is one of the most popular and secure biometric verification technologies. The recognition algorithm uses the reflection of the near infrared (NIR) or visible light (VIS) spectrum to automatically detect and identify users, employees or visitors in a crowd. The system compares captured faces with faces stored in an extensive database and is capable of identification in milliseconds. It can be used both during the day and at night, since the camera has a high sensitivity to light.
