MOUNTING SYSTEM: A MOUNTING SYSTEM is the primary product designed by Chief® to mount the projector or display.
ACCESSORY: An ACCESSORY is any product designed by Chief® to complement the primary mounting system either by mounting any supporting components or enhancing the mounting capabilities of the primary mounting system.
COMPONENT: A COMPONENT is any secondary product to be mounted to an accessory, i.e. speakers, CPU's, cameras, tablets, additional displays.

It is the installer's responsibility to make sure all components are properly assembled and installed using the instructions provided.

It is the installer's responsibility to make sure the structure to which this component is attached can support five times the combined weight of all equipment. Reinforce the structure as required before installing the component.

WARNING: Exceeding the weight capacity can result in serious personal injury or damage to equipment! It is the installer's responsibility to make sure the combined weight of all components located on the KRA231 accessory does not exceed 25 lbs (11.34 kg). In addition, when the KRA231 accessory is attached to a K1C or K2C Series mounting system, the listed weight capacity of that assembly becomes the weight capacity listed in Table 1.

TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
- Remove cap from K1C or K2C column. (See Figure 2)
- Slide KRA231 accessory (A) onto front of the column. (See Figure 1)

Tighten screws to secure accessory to column at desired mounting height. (See Figure 1)

Replace cap on top of column. (See Figure 1)

DISPLAY INSTALLATION
- Remove quick release faceplate from KRA231 by pulling quick release lever and sliding faceplate off. (See Figure 2)

Carefully place display face down on protective surface.

Connect faceplate to display.
For flush mounting hole installation:
- Using Phillips screwdriver, carefully install four M4x14mm screws (B) through corresponding holes on faceplate and into the mounting holes on the display. (See Figure 3)

For recessed mounting hole installation:
- Place four spacers (D) on top of mounting holes on back of display. (See Figure 4)
- Using Phillips screwdriver, carefully install four M4x25mm screws (C) through corresponding holes on faceplate, spacers (D) and into the mounting holes on the display. (See Figure 4)

- Position display with faceplate attached above KRA231. (See Figure 5)
- Slide faceplate onto KRA231 head until quick release tab clicks into place. (See Figure 5)

Adjusting Rotation of Faceplate
The faceplate may be rotated 90^ in either direction for either landscape or portrait use.
- (Optional) Rotational adjustment may be locked by fastening face plate in place using one 10-24 x 1/4" button head cap screw (H) into back of faceplate. (See Figure 6)
- Use the 3/16" hex key (N) on the button head cap screw to adjust rotational tension, as necessary.
