WARNING

  1. Do not modify the power cord length or sharing of outlet with other appliances and don't replace the power cord with the damaged or unspecified power cord. It will cause electric shock or fire. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by authorized service person as specified by the manufacturer.

  2. Plug in the power socket properly. Loose plug-in causes electric shock or fire due to heat generation.

  3. Do not switch ON/OFF the refrigerator with wet hands. It may cause electric shock.

  4. Use only dedicated power socket for supply to refrigerator. Do not use an extension cord; otherwise it will cause overloading and intermittent tripping of other appliances or household lights.

  5. Never splash water on your refrigerator. It may cause short circuit.

  6. Grounding (Earthing). In the event of an electric short circuit, grounding (Earthing) reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. In order to prevent possible electric shock, this appliance must be grounded. Consult a qualified electrician or service person if you have doubts on whether the appliance is properly grounded. Improper use of the grounding plug can result in an electric shock.

  7. Never unplug your refrigerator by pulling on the power cord. Always grip plug firmly and pull it straight out from the outlet.

  8. When moving your appliance away from the wall, be careful not to roll over the power cord or damage it in any way.

  9. Unplug the power cord from outlet for cleaning or other requirements. Never touch it with wet hands because you can get an electric shock or be hurt.

  10. Never damage, process, pull out, or twist the power cord, because damage of power cord may cause a fire or electric shock.

  11. Do not place the lit candle within the refrigerator to deodorize. It may cause explosion or fire.

  12. Do not use or store inflammable materials ether, benzene, alcohol, medicine, LP gas, spray or cosmetics near or in the refrigerator. It may cause explosion or fire.

  13. When any strange smell or smoke is detected from the refrigerator, disconnect the power plug immediately and contact to the service center. It may cause fire.

  14. The refrigerator should be so positioned that the supply plug is accessible for quick disconnection when accident happens.

  15. When disposing the refrigerator, remove the packing materials from the door. It may cause to lock out the child.

CAUTION

  1. Before use, refrigerator must be properly installed and located as per the installation instructions.

  2. After your refrigerator is in operation, do not touch the cold surface in the freezer compartment, particularly when your hands are damp or wet. Skin could adhere to these extremely cold surfaces.

  3. Wait for 5 minutes or longer when reconnecting the plug. (It may cause the operation of the freezer to fail.)

  4. Do not install the refrigerator in the wet place or the place which water or rain splashes. (Deterioration of insulation of electric parts may cause electric leakage.)

  5. Because opening or closing the door of the refrigerator may cause injury to the person around it, be careful, please. (Opening or closing the door may cause feet or hands to be caught in the chink in door or the child to be get hurt by the corner.)

Operation

Refrigerator Temperature Control

It is natural for moisture in the air to condense on the cold surface. This leads to a regular build up of frost on the surface of the freezer and the cooling in the fresh food compartment. This frost accumulation reduces the cooling effect, thereby reducing efficiency. Therefore, periodic defrosting is necessary to ensure optimum performance.

★ The water in the drain tray evaporates by natural evaporation if defrosting is done once in two days. However, due to varied conditions of usage it is desirable to check the drain-tray occasionally and dispose of the water, if any, Please ensure that the chiller tray is in its correct position by pushing it to its correct position by pushing it to its extreme. Otherwise the defrosting water may fall over the contents of the refrigerator.

★ Manual Defrosting : However in some models, in case of defrosting or power failure the water directly accumulates in chiller tray, dispose off water directly from chiller tray by taking it out.

SUGGESTIONS

SUGGESTIONS ON FOOD STORAGE

EXTERIOR -Use a lukewarm solution of mild soap or detergent to clean the durable finish of your refrigerator. Wipe with a clean, damp cloth and then dry.

INTERIOR - Regular cleaning of the interior and interior parts is recommended. If you have the Wash all compartments with a mild baking soda solution, then rinse and dry the compartment.

Always remove power cord from the wall outlet prior to cleaning in the vicinity of electrical parts(lamps, switches controls, etc.).

Wipe up excess moisture with a sponge or cloth to prevent water or liquid from getting into any electrical part and causing electric shock. Do not use flammable or toxic cleaning liquids.

  • Caution for Cleaning Not in use : Surface active agent, Car wax, Anticorrosive, All sorts of oil, Gasoline, Acids, Wax.
  • Usable Detergent Vegetable dish washable solution, Soapy water
  • When careless using, it can occur a color change.

VACATION TIME - During average length vacations, you will probably find it best to leave the refrigerator in operation. Place freezable items in freezer for longer life. When you plan to be away for an extended period remove all food, disconnect the power cord, clean the interior throughly and leave each door OPEN to prevent odour formation.

POWER FAILURE - Most power failures are corrected in an hour or two and will not affect your refrigerator temperatures. However, you should minimize the number of door openings while the power is off. During power failures of longer duration, place a block of dry ice on top of your frozen packages.

IF YOU MOVE - Remove or securely fasten down all loose items inside the refrigerator. To avoid damaging the leveling screws, turn them all the way into the base.

DISPOSAL OF THE OLD APPLIANCE - This appliance contains fluid (refrigerant, lubricant) and is made of parts and materials which are reusable and/or recyclable.

All the important materials should be sent to the collection center of waste material and can be reused after rework (recycling). For take back, please contact with the local agency.

Check for yourself

Type of ComplaintProbable CauseRemedy
1. Refrigerator does not work.-Thermostat switch in 'OFF' position.Check that the thermostat knob is on 'Normal' (No.4) position and not in off position.
-Power Supply Off.Check that the refrigerator main supply plug is connected to the wall socket and that the supply is on. Check that the fuse is intact in the supply line.
2. Refrigerator attempts to start, but does not operate.-Low Voltage.Install a line-correcting transformer in the mains, or a Voltage Stabilizer.
3. Refrigerator contents not cooling.-Defrosting over dueDefrost the refrigerator.
-Restriction of cold air circulation.Provide space in between the dishes. If the shelves are covered with cloth or polythene, remove it.
-Improper thermostat control selection. If the refrigerator is required to give a low temperature turn the thermostat knob towards colder (No.7) position.
-Entry of hot air.Opening and closing of the door too often will result in hot air from outside rushing into the refrigerator causing the temperature to go up. Reduce the frequency of opening of the door
-Storing hot foods.Avoid storing hot foods in the refrigerator, cool them to room temperature before placing them inside the refrigerator.
4. Formation of water drops on exterior of refrigerator.-High humidity during mansoon season.During the mansoon, when the humidity in the atmosphere reaches around 90% water droplets may form around the sides of the refrigerator cabinet, especially the top portion. This moisture should be wiped off periodically. Contact our serviceman to check the door seal for proper and uniform contact with the cabinet.
5. Formation of droplets on the underside of the Chiller tray.-Hot and humid climate. In hot and humid weather the moist air rushes inside whenever the refrigerator door is opened. This results in excess frosting on the Evaporator, and condensation on the Chiller tray bottom. Avoid too frequent door openings.
6. Smell and odour.-Improper covering and wrapping of food.Wrap and cover foodstuffs properly. Place caps on bottles and other liquid stores.
If the smell persists, defrost the refrigerator, remove all foodstuffs, clean the refrigerator thoroughly and wipe it dry before restarting.
