At Kambrook, we believe that safe performance is the first priority in any consumer product, so that you, our valued customer can confidently use and trust our products. We ask that any electrical appliance that you use be operated in a sensible fashion with due care and attention placed on the following important operating instructions.
Important Safeguards For Your Kambrook Arctic HV Floor Fan
- Carefully read all instructions before operating the Kambrook Floor Fan for the first time and save for future reference.
- Remove and safely discard any packaging material and promotional labels before using the fan for the first time.
- To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug of this fan.
- Ensure that the surface is level, clean and free of water and other substances
• Always ensure the fan is properly assembled before use. Follow the instructions provided in this book. - Keep the fan clean. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in this book.
- Do not leave the fan unattended when in use.
- Do not place anything, on top of the fan when assembled, when in use and when stored.
- This fan is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
- Avoid touching mobile parts of the fan.

Never insert fingers, pencils or any other objects through the guards whenever the power plug is connected, in particular while the fan is switched on.

Do not operate in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes or liquids.
- Never carry the fan by the cord or yank to disconnect from an outlet; instead grasp the cord at the plug and pull to disconnect. Do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners.
- The fan must not be used if the grilles are not fastened correctly and the triangular base correctly fitted as per the instructions provided in this book.
- When unpacking the fan, check to see you have received all the parts before discarding the packaging.
- To avoid electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan, when it is in use.
- Disconnect the power plug before dismantling, assembling or before cleaning and when the fan is not in use.
Important Safeguards For All Electrical Appliances
- Fully unwind the power cord before use.
- Connect only to a 230V or 240V power outlet.
- Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, power plug or appliance in water or any other liquid, unless it is recommended in the cleaning instructions.
- The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance, by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- It is recommended to inspect the appliance regularly. Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord, plug, connector or appliance becomes damaged in anyway. Return the entire appliance to the nearest authorised Kambrook Service Centre for examination and/or repair.

Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed at an authorized Kambrook Service Centre.

This appliance is for household use only. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats. Do not use outdoors. Misuse may cause injury.
- The installation of a residual current device (safety switch) is recommended to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. It is advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See your electrician for professional advice.
- Always turn the appliance to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet and unplug at the power outlet when the appliance is not in use.
- Before cleaning, always turn the appliance to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet, unplug at the power outlet and remove the power cord, if detachable, from the appliance and allow all parts to cool.

Using Your Kambrook Arctic HV Floor Fan
Before First Use
Carefully remove the fan from its packaging and also remove any promotional material from the fan.

Assembling Your Kambrook Arctic HV Floor Fan
To Assemble the Triangular Base
- The Triangular Base comes in two pieces that first must be screwed together.
- Fit the smaller rounded end from one side of the base into the larger rounded end of the other side of the base piece.

Mechanical component with two bolted flanges and a central hole, labeled Fig. 1 (no text or symbols on the object itself)- Once fitted together, align the two pieces so that you can see the screw hole clearly (Fig. 1). Use the included small screw with two washers to assemble the base. Fit the thinner of the two washers on to the screw first, followed by the thicker washer and then, using a screw driver, tighten into the screw hole of the triangular base until tight.
To Assemble the Fan Head to the Base

Carefully fit the attached threaded screws located on both sides of the pre-assembled Fan Head into the holes provided at each end of the Triangular Base making sure that the point of the Triangular Base is at the back of the fan head (Fig. 2).

Fit a washer onto each screw followed by the nut. Tighten the nut with you fingers as much as you are able.

Fit a Tilt Adjustment Knob onto each nut and use the knob to tighten fully.

To Operate the Floor Fan
Plug the cord into a 230V or 240V power point and switch on.
The fan has 3 speeds. To adjust the flow of air, turn the fan speed dial located at the back of the fan to the preferred speed - LOW, MED or HIGH.
To turn Off, turn the fan speed dial to the OFF position.
NOTE: To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan when it is in use.
To adjust the flow of air up or down, slightly loosen the two adjustment knobs located on either side of the fan and tilt the fan either upwards or downwards to suit. Once the fan is in the desired position, re-tighten the two knobs to hold in place.

Before cleaning, always turn the Floor Fan to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet, then unplug at the power outlet.
To clean the fan, remove dust that may have accumulated with a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the brush attachment. Wipe the exterior of the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Never use an abrasive cleaner.
When not in use, store the fan in a cool, clean and dry location.
