- Please read these operating instructions through carefully before connecting your kettle to the power supply. In order to avoid damage due to incorrect use.
- Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to faults on the appliance and injuries to the user.
- The appliance is designed for household use only.
- Unplug the appliance from power supply when not in use.
- Keep the base unit away from damp and protect from splashes.
- Do not immerse the unit cord or plug in water or other liquids. If this should occur, remove the plug immediately and then have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.
- Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug show signs of damage. If the appliance has fallen on the floor, take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair if necessary.
- Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.
- Only pull it out of the power supply by the plug, not by the cord.
- Place the appliance on a stable surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hot plates), naked flames; do not place under curtains or low wall-cupboards
- You should never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance is not intended for use by person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied, and do not use the base unit for any other purposes.
- Never remove the kettle from its base unit while in operation. Switch the appliance off first.
- Take care to close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not switch off automatically and hot water may overflow.
- The kettle is only meant for heating water. Do not use it to heat up soup or any other liquids.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Remove all packing materials from the kettle.
- Before connecting the kettle check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
- Fill the kettle with cool water up to the "MAX" mark and boil it. Empty the water from the kettle. The appliance is ready for use.

- Open the lid by pressing on the lid release button.
- Place the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.
- Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly, then close the lid.
Never leave the filter loose in the kettle. Never remove the filter while the kettle contains hot water.
FILLING
- Remove the kettle from the base unit.
- You can fill the kettle with water via the spout or by opening the lid, by pressing on the lid release button.
- Not recommended to fill with less than 1 liter of water to prevent the kettle from running dry.
- Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum lever indication. Avoid overfilling to prevent the water from spilling out during the boiling process.
SWITCHING ON
- After filling your kettle with water, place the kettle on the base unit.
- Connect plug to power supply and pull down the On/Off switch. The appliance will begin to operate and the indicator light will come on.
SWITCHING OFF
When the water has reached boiling points, the kettle will switch off automatically and the indicator light will go off.
NOTE: This appliance has a safety system, which automatically switches off the heater element if the appliance is inadvertently switched on when empty, or if it boils dry. In this case, let the appliance cool down completely, before filling with water again.
SWITCHING ON AGAIN
The kettle can be switched on again after cooling down for about 15-20 seconds, after the kettle has been switched off automatically.
CARE AND CLEANING
- Always remove the plug from the power supply and let the appliance cool down completely.
- Clean the outside of the kettle and the base unit with a soft damp cloth. Then wipe with a dry cloth. Do not use scouring.
- Descale at regular intervals. Use a descaling agent, which can be obtained from specialist shops and follow the instructions given.
FILTER CLEANING
- Remove the filter out of the kettle.
- Place under a tap and rub gently.
- Replace the filter between the two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.

The cord could be winded into the base unit that has a cord storage compartment.
