Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer and those provided with the appliance, otherwise they could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

- This appliance is exclusively for domestic use. Any other use must be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any injuries or damage resulting from improper use.

- This appliance is only intended to be used in household; Never use:

  • In staff kitchen areas in shops. Offices and other working environments;
  • In farm houses;
  • In hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
  • In bed and breakfast type environments.

  • Do not touch on the appliance or its plug with wet hands, humid feet or barefoot, to avoid the risk of electrical shocks.

  • Never leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.
  • Do not open or undertake any repairs on the appliance. By failing to observe this rule, you risk your safety and the warranty may become invalid. Only qualified technicians can repair the appliance.

  • To avoid fire accidents or electrical shocks, make sure that no fluids enter in contact with the electrical parts of the appliance or in contact with the supply cord. Do not expose the appliance to humidity, do not use it outdoors and keep it away from any objects filled with fluids, such as washbasins, vases, flowerpots, etc. If any fluid accidentally spills on the appliance's electrical parts, disconnect the appliance from the wall socket and go to the store where it was bought or contact a qualify technician for repairing.
  • Periodically check the supply cord for any damages. If the supply cord is damaged, contact the store where the appliance was bought or a qualified technician for repair or replacement in order to avoid hazards.
  • Do not place any objects on top of the supply cord. Never bend or twist it, and make sure it does not come into contact with hot surfaces, sharp edges, or where people may walk past and trip. Do not leave the supply cord hanging in such a position that a child may reach it.
  • Always hold the plug to disconnect it from the wall socket and not by the supply cord.

  • During use, the lid must be properly closed, its opening clear and should never be opened, under the risk of severe burns.

  • To avoid serious burns, it is advisable to have an especially careful when pouring the boiling water.
  • Before removing the appliance from the base make sure that it is turned off on the On/off button.
  • This appliance should be used exclusively with the base provided.
  • The appliance should be cleaned and decalcified regularly, otherwise its effectiveness and useful life may be affected and may cause danger.
  • This appliance was not design to be operated with remote controls or external timers.
  • Avoid using any adaptors or extension leads. If they are necessary, only use recommended ones.
  • This appliance belongs to Class I and has a supply cord and plug with earth connection and should always be connected to a wall socket with earth connection. If the wall socket does not have earth connection, is customer responsibility to replace it by another with earth connection.

PREPARING FOR USE

Handy and easy to use, the Kettle KT3655 / KT3655-P Electric Co heats water in a few minutes. A great help in your kitchen.

Before the first use

  • Make sure that all the packaging materials have been properly removed before use.
  • To remove any manufacturing residues, use the kettle for 2 to 3 consecutive times. Follow the instructions described on "Operation".

Operation

  • Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface, protected from impacts and away from the edges.
  • Open the appliance's lid (C) by pressing the button (D) and fill it with natural water at normal temperature. The water level should not be below the mark "MIN" or above the mark "MAX" indicated on the jug (B).
    Note: the appliance is equipped with a protective device that automatically shuts it off if it is put into operation without the minimum quantity of water needed. To return to the normal use, press button (E) to "0" position (off) and let the appliance cool down completely before using it again.
  • Close the lid (C) and place the jug (B) over the base (A), making sure it is properly fitted.
  • Check if the button (E) is on "0" position (off) before connecting the appliance to the wall socket.
  • Connect the appliance to the wall socket and press the button (E) to the "I" position (On). The pilot light (F) turns on automatically and stays on while the appliance is connected.
  • The appliance turns off automatically when the water reaches the boiling point.
  • To switch off the appliance before the water reaches the boiling point, press the button (E) to "0" position (off).
    Note: before removing the jug (B) from the base (A), make sure that the button (E) is on "0" position (off).
  • After use remove the plug from the wall socket.

Detachable pouring filter

- The filter (H) retains the residues and particles existent in the water.

DECALCIFY

  • It is recommended to proceed with the appliance's decalcifying every 3 to 4 months, depending on the frequency of use and level of limestone in the water.
  • The decalcifying of the appliance must be done with a product suitable for decalcifying this kind of appliances, such as citric acid. This kind of product is usually sold on the market.
  • Fill the jug (B) with 0.5 L of water, add about 8-10 g of decalcifying agent and turn On the appliance.
  • After the appliance turns off, pour all the water and allow it to cools down completely. With a cloth, gently wipe the residues from the inside of the jug (B) and rinse it.
  • To remove any decalcifying residues, use the appliance for 2 to 3 consecutive times, with natural water. Follow the instructions described on "Operation".
  • After the decalcifying process has finished, the appliance is ready to be used again.

Note: never use vinegar. If the decalcifying agent used is not suitable for this kind of appliance, you may endanger your own safety and the appliance.

HINTS

  • Keeping the appliance clean and using natural fresh water are two essentials factors to prolong the appliance's life time.
  • Always pour the remaining water after each use, to avoid the formation of limestone.

TROUBLESHOOTING

- During use, if any irregularities are detected on the appliance's operation, check the below table to understand the causes and solutions to resolve them. If not possible, please contact the Customer Support Line or go to the store where the appliance was bought.

CLEANING

  • Disconnect the appliance from the wall socket and allow it to cool down completely before any cleaning operation.

  • Clean the outside of the appliance and the base (A) with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it with a dry and soft cloth.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

Pouring filter

  • Open the lid (C) and remove the pouring filter (H).
  • Rinse it with water and remove the residues and particles with a soft brush.
  • You can also put it in a small container with lemon juice or vinegar overnight and wash it in running water before insert it again in the jug (B).

In order to benefit the product's guarantee, the buyer must present the following documents: Guarantee Certificate and Purchase Receipt (commercial invoice), to confirm the purchase date.

Guarantee Conditions
