PREPARING FOR USE

The Digital Kitchen Scales FS1011-01A Electric Co allow you to prepare delicious food with total precision.

Fitting or replacement of batteries

• Open the battery compartment existing on the appliance's base.
• Insert 4 batteries type AAA observing the polarity, and close the compartment again. (see fig. 1)

Operation

• Place the appliance on a flat and level surface.
• Switch on the appliance using button (D). All of the digits light up in the display (C) for 2 seconds (see fig. 2), and then go immediately into weigh mode.

Note: if zero does not appear in the display (C), press button tara (E) for 2 seconds. (see fig. 3)

- After zero has appeared in the display (C), select the weight unit you wish to use: grams, kilograms, ounces or pounds, pressing button (D). (see fig. 4)

- Place the item to be weighed on the glass platform (B). The weight will be shown in the display (C). (see fig. 5)

Note: food must be placed at the centre of the glass platform (B) to obtain the correct weight.

• If during normal operation the indication "Lo" appears in the display (C), or if the appliance does not come on after pressing button (D), please replace the batteries. (see fig 6). To change the batteries follow the instructions in the section on "Fitting or replacement of batteries".
• Should you exceed the appliance max weight limit (5 kg), the indication "O-Ld" will appear in the display (C). (see fig. 7)

- To switch the appliance off, press button (D) and wait that it shut-off automatically.

Auto switch off system

- The appliance is equipped with an automatic system which switches off the appliance after it has remained inactive for a period of 2 minutes.

Tare function

• This function allows several different ingredients to be weighed without it being necessary to remove them from the glass platform (B).
• Whenever you wish to individually weigh more than one ingredient, place the recipient on the glass platform (B), wait for the weight to appear and then press the tare function button (E). When the display (C) returns to zero, you can place the next ingredient to be weighed in the recipient. You can repeat this function as many times as necessary up to a total of 5 kg.

Storage

- Store this appliance in a dry and well ventilated place, assuring that no object is placed over the glass platform (B).

TROUBLESHOOTING

- During use, if any irregularities are detected on the appliance's operation, check the below table to understand the causes and solutions to resolve them. If not possible, please contact the Customer Support Line or go to the store where the appliance was bought.

The display (C) shows “O-Ld”.	The maximum weight limit was exceeded.	Do not exceed the maximum weight (5 kg).

CLEANING

• Disconnect the appliance on the on/off button (D) before any cleaning operation.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or scrub pads. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
• Clean the appliance's exterior with a soft, clean and dry cloth.
• Wash the removable glass platform (B) by hand in running water with a neutral detergent. Dry it with a clean and dry cloth.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquid.

If the technical assistance service is required during the guarantee period, the buyer must contact the seller or the nearest technical assistance service.

In order to benefit the product's guarantee, the buyer must present the following documents: Guarantee Certificate and Purchase Receipt (commercial invoice), to confirm the purchase date.

Guarantee Conditions

This guarantee applies to products which have been used according to the manufacturer's recommendations under normal conditions of domestic use and when reasonable care has been taken of the equipment.
