WARNING!

• Avoid spilling onto the power cord or plug.
• Incorrect use can result in the risk of personal injury and/or material damage.
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
• Do not use the kettle base for any other purpose than the one it is intended for.
• Do not use the kettle without liquid, this can damage the heater element.
• Pull out the plug when the kettle is not in use.
• Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to come into contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not put the kettle on or near a hot stove or in a hot oven.
• The boil-dry protection prevents the kettle from starting when there is no water in the jug. If the

boil-dry protection trips, allow the kettle to cool, fill up with cold water and switch on again.

• Place the kettle on a stable, level surface, out of the reach of children.
• Do not immerse the power cord, plug or base in water or any other liquid – risk of fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
• Handle the jug carefully when it contains hot water – risk of scalding.
• Allow the jug to cool before filling with water.
• Keep the product under careful supervision when it is used by, or near children.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle and buttons.
• Handle the kettle with care when there is hot water in it.
• Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the kettle.

• Only use the kettle with the supplied base.

• Do not use accessories other than those recommended or sold by the manufacturer. The use of other accessories can result in fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.

• Keep your face, hands and other parts of your body away from the spout when the kettle is in use or hot – risk of scalding from hot steam. Open the lid carefully.
• Unplug the plug from the power point before cleaning and when the kettle is not in use.
• Allow the kettle to cool before cleaning or fitting/removing parts.
• Close the lid before heating up. Never open the lid when boiling up water – risk of scalding.
• A damaged cord or plug must be replaced by an authorised service centre or qualified person to ensure safe use.
• Never use the kettle for anything other than the

purpose it was designed for.

• Do not move the kettle when in use.
• Do not overfill the kettle, this can cause boiling water to overflow.
• Do not use the kettle outdoors.
• The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed and earthed power point.
  • Note that the kettle remains hot after it is switched off.
• Do not immerse the kettle in water or any other liquid.
• The surface off the kettle gets hot when in use.
• This kettle can be used by children from eight years and upwards and by persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions concerning the safe use of the kettle and understand the risks involved with its use. Do not allow children to play with the

kettle. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are more than eight years old, and are kept under supervision.

- Keep the kettle and its power cord out of the reach of children under eight years of age.

USE

WARNING!

Handle the jug carefully and do not open the lid when it contains hot water – risk of scalding.

NOTE:

• Never fill the jug over the MAX mark or below the MIN mark.
• The kettle can be switched off at any time by pressing the power switch.
• Check that the power switch is not obstructed and that the lid is properly closed be plugging the plug into a power point.
• Wait at least 15–20 seconds after use before switching the kettle on again.
• The kettle will not switch off if the power switch is blocked or the lid is open.
• The jug can be kept on the base when not in use.

INTENDED USE

• The kettle is intended to be used to boil water.
• The kettle is intended for household use, or for use in staff rooms, hotel rooms or other similar places.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

Before using for the first time, or if the kettle has not been used for a long time.

1. Fill the jug to the MAX mark and follow the instructions to boil water in Use.
2. Pour out the water, and repeat.
3. Wipe the kettle with a damp cloth.

USE

1. Lift the kettle off the base.
2. Press the lock button to open the lid.
3. Fill with water and close the lid.
4. Put the jug on the base.
5. Plug the plug into an earthed power point.
6. Move the power switch to position I. The status light in the power switch goes on and the water starts to be boiled.
7. The kettle switches off automatically and the status light goes off when the water has boiled.
8. Lift the kettle off the base and pour out the water.

BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

• The boil-dry protection prevents the kettle from starting when there is no water in the jug.
• If the boil-dry protection trips, allow the kettle to cool, fill up with cold water and switch on again.

MAINTENANCE

WARNING!

Never immerse the kettle, the power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.

NOTE:

Pull out the plug from the power point and allow the kettle to cool completely before cleaning.

DESCALING

• Clean and descale the kettle regularly for best functionality.
• Follow the instructions of the manufacturer if you are using a special descaling agent.
• Pour 7.5 dl of vinegar into the jug, fill with water to the MAX mark and leave to stand overnight. Do not boil the mixture.
• Pour out the mixture. Remove any stains with a damp cloth.
• Fill the jug with water to the MAX mark, boil up, and pour out the water. Repeat.

CLEANING

NOTE:

Do not use abrasive detergents or implements on the jug or kettle, this can scratch the surface.

1. Wipe the surface of the kettle with a soft cloth, moistened with a mild detergent.
2. Clean the filter regularly with a soft cloth.
