Frequently Asked Questions - NVR-5530CVSD NEVIR

How do I reverse the door opening direction?
The door hinge can be moved to the opposite side. Unscrew the hinges, swap the door handles and hinges, then reassemble. Refer to the installation manual for step-by-step instructions.
What should I do if the fridge is not cooling enough?
Check if the temperature dial is set correctly (recommended: medium). Ensure the door is sealing properly and there is enough ventilation around the appliance. Also, avoid overloading and keep the condenser coils clean.
How often should I defrost the freezer compartment?
Defrost when the frost layer reaches 5-7 mm. Manually turn off the appliance, remove food, and let the ice melt naturally. Never use sharp tools to remove ice.
Why is my fridge making unusual noises?
Noises like clicking, humming, or gurgling are normal due to refrigerant circulation or compressor cycles. If you hear loud banging or rattling, check if the appliance is level and the tubing is not touching the cabinet.
Can I store hot food in the fridge?
No, always allow hot food to cool to room temperature before placing it inside. Hot food raises the internal temperature, making the compressor work harder and potentially spoiling other food.
What is the proper way to clean the interior?
Unplug the appliance. Remove all food and shelves. Wipe interior with a mild solution of baking soda and warm water (1 tbsp per liter). Rinse and dry thoroughly before restocking.
My fridge has an ice build-up inside. What's wrong?
Excessive ice can be caused by a faulty door seal, leaving the door open too long, or setting the temperature too low. Check the gasket for tears and ensure the door closes firmly.
How can I save energy with this refrigerator?
Place the fridge away from heat sources (oven, direct sunlight). Keep the condenser coils dust-free. Ensure the door seals are tight. Set the thermostat to medium. Do not keep the door open longer than necessary.
What safety precautions should I take?
The refrigerant R600a is flammable. Do not damage the cooling circuit. Do not use electrical appliances inside the refrigerator. Ensure proper ventilation and do not block the ventilation grilles.
Where can I find spare parts for my NVR-5530CVSD?
Contact Nevir customer service or visit their website. Genuine parts such as shelves, door bins, and thermostats are available through authorized service centers.
