DESCRIPTION
This Bluetooth car adapter is designed to be used together with compatible devices that support this wireless Bluetooth technology. Using the Bluetooth adapter, drivers can take phone calls without needing to hold their mobile.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Charging the bluetooth adapter
- The bluetooth adapter needs to be fully charged before its first use. The indicator light illuminates red when the bluetooth adapter is being charged and blue once fully charged.
- It takes around three hours to charge the bluetooth adapter fully.
- When the battery is nearly flat, the bluetooth adapter begins to beep, and automatically switches off when the battery is completely flat.
- Charging the bluetooth adapter before the battery is completely flat will help extend the lifespan of the battery. If the bluetooth adapter has been out of use for a long period, or the battery is completely flat, it will take a few minutes for the indicator light to illuminate.
NOTE!
- Only use the supplied charger to charge the bluetooth adapter.
- Do not try to remove the built-in battery because this may damage the bluetooth adapter.
- The battery loses charge even if the bluetooth adapter is not in use, so it should be charged once every three months as a minimum.
- Do not leave the bluetooth adapter in cars in very cold or hot weather (it works best between 15 and 25°C), as this can stop it working correctly, even if fully charged.
- Keep the bluetooth adapter away from water and fire.
Switching on the bluetooth adapter
Hold down the multifunction button for about three seconds until you hear an acoustic signal and the indicator light is flashing blue. The bluetooth adapter will now switch to standby mode. If it has not been paired with other devices, the indicator light will begin to flash blue twice every three seconds. Once paired, the indicator light will flash blue every ten seconds.
Switching off the bluetooth adapter
Press the multifunction button down for about six seconds until you hear an acoustic signal and the indicator light flashes red twice.
Pairing
Pair the bluetooth adapter with a bluetooth-compatible mobile phone.
- The bluetooth adapter should be off, and no more than one metre from the mobile phone.
- Hold down the multifunction button for 4–5 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and red alternately. The bluetooth adapter is now paired.
- Activate bluetooth on the mobile phone and search for the available bluetooth devices (instructions for this can be found in the phone's manual).
- Select 'HAMRON BT1' from the list of devices found by the phone.
- Enter the password '0000'. If the pairing process is not completed within five minutes, the bluetooth adapter will return to standby mode. If this happens, repeat the steps listed above to try and carry out the pairing again.
- The bluetooth adapter and phone remain paired provided that the distance between them does not exceed 10 metres, and there are no obstacles between them.
- If the bluetooth adapter was paired with the mobile phone on a previous occasion, the devices will reconnect automatically, provided that the bluetooth adapter is switched on when the mobile phone is within reach and bluetooth has been activated.
Disconnecting
- From the mobile phone: select 'Disconnect' or the equivalent from the list of bluetooth devices on the phone.
- From the bluetooth adapter: switch off the bluetooth adapter and repeat the pairing steps listed above to connect it to a different bluetooth device.
Answering a call
When the mobile phone rings, press the multifunction button once.
Ending a call
Press the multifunction button once.
Rejecting a call
Hold the multifunction button down for two seconds.
Voice dialling
With the bluetooth adapter in standby mode, press the multifunction button once and say a voice command (the mobile phone must support voice recognition – refer to the phone's manual for further information).
Calling the last dialled number
With the bluetooth adapter in standby mode, press the multifunction button twice.
Changing the volume
Press V+ or V- to increase or lower the volume (you will hear a beep when the maximum or minimum volume is reached).
Enabling/disabling the microphone
During a call, hold down the Mute button for two seconds to switch off the microphone. Hold the Mute button for another two seconds to switch the microphone on again.
Clear pairing from the bluetooth adapter
Hold down the V+, V- and multifunction buttons simultaneously for three seconds until the indicator light flashes red twice and you hear a beep.
Call forwarding
Forward a call from the bluetooth adapter to the mobile phone: during a call, hold down V+ and V- at the same time for approximately two seconds.
Forward a call from the mobile phone to the bluetooth adapter:
A. If the mobile phone has been paired with the bluetooth adapter, hold down V+ and V- at the same time for around two seconds (works irrespective of whether one or two mobile phones have been paired).
B. If the mobile phone has not been paired with the bluetooth adapter, press the multifunction button once to forward the call back to the bluetooth adapter (only works if one mobile phone has been paired with it).
Pairing two mobile phones
-
Pair the bluetooth adapter with the first mobile phone, then switch off the bluetooth adapter.
-
Repeat the pairing for the second mobile phone.
-
Select 'HAMRON BT1' from the list of bluetooth devices found on the first mobile phone in order to enable the connection.
NOTE! It is not guaranteed that it will be possible to pair two mobile phones at the same time as technology varies from phone to phone.
Switching between two calls
If someone calls you when you already talking to someone:
- Press the multifunction button once to answer the new call and put the current call on hold.
- Switch between the two calls by pressing the multifunction button once.
- Hold down the multifunction button for about two seconds to end the active call and return to the call that is on hold.
NOTE! To be able to use this function, the mobile phone must support bluetooth handsfree function version 1.5, and the mobile phone must support the call waiting feature.
