How to adjust the browning level?

Use button 3 to set the desired level (from - to +). The setting is memorized even after power off.

How to use the defrost function?

First set the browning level, then press the defrost (4) button before lowering the lever.

How to reheat already toasted bread?

Set button 3 to the reheating symbol (□), then lower the lever. Use the integrated bun warmer for pastries.

What to do if bread gets stuck in the slot?

Unplug the appliance, let it cool, and carefully remove the bread. Never use metal objects.

How to clean the toaster?

Unplug and let cool. Remove the crumb tray 10 and empty it. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.

Why does the toaster stop on its own?

It stops automatically if tipped over or bread is stuck. For manual stop, press the stop (5) button.

Can I toast frozen foods?

Yes, set the browning level and press defrost before toasting. The toasting time is adjusted automatically.

How to use the integrated bun warmer?

Lower lever 8 to raise the bun warmer 9. Place aluminum foil on the warmer to reheat pastries.

What does the flashing display mean?

The browning level flashes during the toasting cycle. The numbers light up progressively to indicate progress.

How to wind the power cord?

Under the appliance there is a cable winder 11. Wind the cord around the pegs to store it.

Safety instructions

This appliance is designed for domestic use or for use in non-commercial, household-like environments, such as staff kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other small businesses or for use by guests at bed-and-breakfast establishments, small hotels and similar residential facilities.

Unplug after every use or if defective.

Repairs to the appliance, such as replacing a damaged power cord, may only be carried out by our customer service in order to avoid risks.

The power cord should not

- touch hot parts,

– be pulled over sharp edges,

– be used as a carrying handle.

Do not insert any objects into the toast slot.

Only operate the toaster when it is upright. If the toaster is tilted, it will turn itself off automatically.

Bread can burn. Never operate the toaster near or underneath curtains or other flammable materials. Never cover the toast slot.

Do not touch parts other than the operating controls as the toaster can become hot during toasting.

Press down the push-down lever only for toasting; never block it.

Never leave the toaster unattended while it is in use!

Do not use near water contained in bathtubs, sinks, or in other containers.

Before using for the first time

• Remove any stickers or film.
• With the window open, operate the toaster without bread in it at least three times at the highest toasting level setting and let it cool down.

Operation

Do not operate the toaster without the crumb tray 10!

Toasting

• Unwind the power cable to the required length and plug it in.
• Press the ① ON/OFF button; the set toasting level lights up on the toasting level indicator 2, for example [3] or an intermediate level like [4|5].
• Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level.

Note: The toaster will remember the selected toasting level (memory function), even if it is turned off, unplugged, or in case of a power failure.

• Place the food to be toasted in the toast slot 7.
• Press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages. The numbers for the selected toasting level flash. The toaster indicates the elapsed time by illuminating the numbers in the toasting level indicator 2.
• Toasting ends when the food being toasted is raised up.

Note: Push the push-down lever 6 up to remove toasted items more easily.

To end the toasting process prematurely, press the stop button 5.

Tip: If you toast only one slice, set the toasting level lower than for two slices.

Warming cold bread or toast

• Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level ☐ (warming).
• Insert the food being toasted and press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.

Preparing frozen bread or toast

• Use button 3 to set the desired toasting level.
• Press button 4 defrost.
• Insert the frozen food to be toasted and press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.

Using the warming rack

Never place aluminium foil on the warming rack 9!

Only use the warming function when the warming rack 9 is extended.

Never warm and toast at the same time!

• Press switch 8 down until it engages. The warming rack 9 extends.
• Use button 2 to set the desired toasting level, but no higher than level [2].
• Press the push-down lever 6 down until it engages.

General

Toast items only until they are golden brown and not dark or brown. Remove any burnt edges. Do not over-toast foods containing starch, especially grain and potato products (to reduce the production of acryl amides).

N.B.: If a slice gets stuck, the toaster turns itself off automatically. Pull the power plug and carefully remove the bread after the toaster has cooled down.

Saving energy

Turn the toaster off after use by pressing the ① button in order to conserve energy.

Cleaning and maintenance

⚠️ Risk of electric shock

Never immerse the device in water or place it in the dishwasher!

Don't steam-clean the appliance.

• Pull the power plug and let the toaster cool down. Use a firm brush to remove crumbs that may have accumulated under the warming rack.
• Remove the crumb tray 10 and wipe it clean.
• Clean the toaster's exterior with a damp cloth; do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents.

Tip: Clean the stainless steel surface with a commercial stainless steel care product.
