Frequently Asked Questions - OVC-022 ORION

How do I change the dust bag on the Orion OVC-022?
Open the dust compartment lid, remove the full bag by pulling the cardboard tab, and insert a new Orion disposable paper bag. Ensure it fits securely before closing the lid.
How often should I clean or replace the filter?
Clean the foam filter every 3-4 uses by tapping it gently or rinsing with water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace the filter every 6 months for optimal performance.
Can I use the vacuum to pick up liquids?
No, the Orion OVC-022 is a dry vacuum cleaner only. Using it on liquids can damage the motor and void the warranty.
What accessories are included and what are they for?
The vacuum comes with a crevice tool for tight spaces, an upholstery nozzle for fabric surfaces, and a floor brush for carpets and hard floors.
How do I maintain the suction power?
Regularly empty the dust bag before it is full, clean the foam filter, and check for blockages in the hose or nozzles. Avoid vacuuming large debris that could clog the system.
Is the power cord long enough for large rooms?
The cord length is 5 meters, which is sufficient for most average-sized rooms. For larger areas, you may need to use another power outlet.
How do I store the vacuum cleaner?
After use, rewind the cord by pressing the automatic rewind button, wrap the hose around the unit, and store in a dry, upright position. Keep accessories attached or in a designated holder.
What should I do if the vacuum overheats?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum immediately. Check for blockages in the hose or dust bag. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes before restarting. If the problem persists, contact customer support.
Can I use third-party dust bags?
It is recommended to use Orion genuine bags to ensure proper fit and filtration. Third-party bags may reduce performance and could damage the vacuum.
How do I adjust the suction power?
The suction power is controlled by an electronic slider located on the handle. Slide it to a lower setting for delicate fabrics or curtains, and to a higher setting for deep carpet cleaning.
