General
This type of refrigerator is widely used in places such as hotels, offices, student dormitories and houses. It is mostly suitable for refrigerating and preserving foods such as fruits and beverage. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, low electric consumption and easy use.
Instructions for Installation
- Do not tilt the refrigerator for more than 45 degrees from upright during moving it. Do not apply force on any part such as condenser and door to prevent the refrigerator from deforming, or else it will influence its performance.
- Let the refrigerator have enough space to work well.
- Do not install it in high temperature or humid places to avoid damage, dampness, and rust.
Safety cautions
- Before plugging in the refrigerator, check if the electric voltage to be used fits the rated voltage of the appliance. The power plug should have its own independent socket; using an adapter may cause the socket to overheat.
- Do not store inflammable materials such as ether, benzene, LP gas, glue, and similar items in the refrigerator.
- Do not splash water on the refrigerator as it may cause malfunction or electric shock.
- When gas leaks from its container, do not pull the plug out or in. It
can cause sparks and fire calamities.
Operating instructions
- When operating the refrigerator for the first time, run it without loading any food until it automatically stops at the desired temperature. Usually, it takes 2 or 3 hours, then set the thermostatic dial to the desired setting and store foods in the refrigerator.
- The temperature of the refrigerator can be adjusted by turning the thermostatic dial. A medium setting of the thermostatic dial is the most suitable for general operation.
- Defrost the freezing compartment whenever the layer of frost on the surface of the evaporator reaches 3 or 4 mm. When defrosting, remove all food and set the thermostat to the “OFF” position. Put the drip tray under the evaporator to collect water from melted ice. After the frost has melted, discard the water and dry the interior of the refrigerator. The refrigerator can then be restarted by turning its thermostat to the desired setting.
Cautions for Use
- If putting a big quantity of food or leaving the door opened for a long time, there is higher electric consumption, which can lead to malfunction.
- Do not store objects that are too heavy, pointed, or cause corrosion on the board.
- If necessary, re-plug in the power plug at an interval of not less than ten minutes.
- Do not store bottled drinks in the freezer as they can break and damage the refrigerator.
- Open the door as little as possible in the event of a power cut.
- When defrosting, never use any sharp or metallic objects to remove the frost on the surface of the evaporator as it will damage
the evaporator.
- Do not touch foods and containers in the freezing compartment with wet hands to prevent frostbite.
Cleaning
- Cleaning the Interior and the Exterior of the Appliance
◆ Dust behind the refrigerator and on the ground should be cleaned timely to improve cooling effect and save energy. ◆ Check the door gasket regularly to ensure there are no debris. Clean the door gasket with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent. ◆ The interior of the refrigerator should be cleaned regularly to avoid odors. ◆ Turn off the power before cleaning the interior, remove all foods, drinks, shelves, drawers, etc. Use a soft cloth or sponge to clean the inside with two tablespoons of baking soda and a quart of warm water. Rinse with water and wipe clean. After cleaning, open the door and let it dry naturally before turning on the power. For areas that are difficult to clean (such as narrow gaps or corners), it is recommended to wipe them regularly with a soft cloth, soft brush, etc., and when necessary, combine with auxiliary tools (such as thin sticks) to ensure no contaminants or bacterial accumulation in these areas. Do not use soap, detergent, scouring powder, spray cleaner, etc., as these may cause odors inside the refrigerator or contaminate food. ◆ Clean the bottle frame, shelves, and drawers with a soft cloth
dampened with soapy water or diluted detergent. Dry with a soft cloth or naturally.
◆ Wipe the outer surface of the refrigerator with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water, detergent, etc., and then wipe dry. Do not use hard brushes, steel wool, wire brushes, abrasives (such as toothpaste), organic solvents (such as alcohol, acetone, banana oil, etc.), boiling water, acid or alkaline items, which may damage the fridge surface and interior. Boiling water and organic solvents such as benzene may deform or damage plastic parts. Do not rinse directly with water or other liquids during cleaning to avoid short circuits or affect electrical insulation after immersion.
2. Cleaning Tips
Condensation may appear on the outside of the appliance. This happens due to changes in room temperature. Wipe any moisture residue. If the problem continues, please contact a qualified technician for help.
Maintenance
- While cleaning the refrigerator, unplug the appliance, rub carefully with a piece of cloth soaked with natural cleanser and then wipe with clean water. The abrasive cleaning means, alkali cleansers, chemical cloth, thinner, alcohol, acid petroleum product and hot water are not suitable for cleaning the refrigerator as they may damage the painting cover and plastics.
- The door gasket gets dirty and fogged easily, so clean it frequently.
- If the refrigerator is out of use for a long time, unplug it, clean and
dry the freezing compartment and then close the door tightly.
The following cases are not malfunction
- A flowing water sound:
Flowing water sound will be heard under normal operating.
- Outside condensation:
Outside condensation is normal in high humidity condition. It should be just wiped by the user.
- It takes some time for the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator compartments to cool after the refrigerator starts to operate: In case the temperature of the two compartments is higher while the refrigerator is operating, it takes a certain time to cool. If the environmental temperature is higher, the compartments take longer to cool.
- The surface of the compressor becomes hot:
The surface of the compressor may become hot under normal operation. Do not touch it with hands.

For household refrigerating appliances
Try not to open the door too often, especially when the weather is wet and hot. Once you open the door, have in mind to close it as soon as possible.
Check regularly if the appliance is sufficiently ventilated (adequate air circulation behind the appliance).
For household refrigerating appliances, in normal temperature conditions, set the thermostat at the middle setting.
Before loading the appliance with fresh food, make sure it has been cooled to ambient temperature.
Ice and frost layer increase energy consumption, therefore you should clean the appliance as soon as the layer is 3-5 mm thick.
If it is the outer condenser, the rear wall should always be clean, free of dust or any impurities.
Always consider instructions stated in sections Positioning and Energy Saving Tips, otherwise the energy consumption will be substantially higher.
Energy Saving Tips
The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing appliances or heating ducts and out of direct sunlight.
Allow hot foods to cool to room temperature before storing in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality or spoil.
Make sure the food is properly wrapped and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This reduces frost creation inside the appliance.
Appliance storage bin should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling. Liners interfere with cold air circulation and thus make the appliance less efficient.
Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended search for food. Take as many items as needed at one time and close the door as soon as possible.
