ASSEMBLY

• Put the solar cell light outdoors in a place with direct sunlight where the solar cell panel can receive at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. If the solar cell lamp is put in a shady place, the batteries will not fully charge, which results in shorter illumination time.
• The solar cell light should not be placed in proximity to other light sources such as streetlamps, since it contains a sensor that measures light strength and controls how the lamp functions.

oPERATION

NoTE:

• The solar cell light can be used for lighting up gardens, patios or other places at night. You can even load the light outdoors in order to use it indoors.
• The light is designed to turn on when it gets dark. If there are strong light sources in the vicinity, the light can become very weak or not turn on at all.
• Throughout the day, the solar cell panel converts solar energy to energy for the rechargeable battery. In the evening, the lamp automatically lights up from the stored energy. Location, weather and time of year all affect how long the batteries can power the lamp.
• Even if the battery has been charged by the manufacturer, the charge will have decreased upon delivery. Charge the light for a whole day in order to optimise its functioning.
• The outside of the solar cell light must be kept clean, otherwise the charging process will become less effective.

• If the light stops working after a longer period of use (approx. 18 months), it may mean that the battery is spent. Open the battery lid and exchange the old battery with a new rechargeable battery.

• Set the power switch to ON and put the lamp in a sunny spot.

• Check the following if the light does not automatically turn on after charging for six hours:
• check that the battery is correctly inserted and makes contact with the terminals
• check that the light has been placed in a sunny spot and that the solar panels are directed at the sun
