How fast does the NORDMÄRKE charge?

It provides up to 10W of power for compatible Android devices and up to 7.5W for iPhones (limited by Apple). Actual speed depends on the device and whether the power adapter provides sufficient output (9V/2A recommended).

What does the LED light mean?

The LED ring around the pad indicates: Solid white - charging; Pulsating white - waiting for device placement; Flashing white - error or foreign object detected; Off - no power or device not recognized.

Can I use the charger through a phone case?

Yes, as long as the case is not thicker than 8 mm (0.3 inches) and does not contain metal, credit cards, or magnetic attachments. Very thick or metallic cases may interfere with charging.

Does the charger work with iPhone 12/13/14 MagSafe?

The NORDMÄRKE uses standard Qi technology, not MagSafe. It will charge iPhones wirelessly but does not snap on magnetically. MagSafe iPhones will charge at a lower speed (7.5W) via Qi.

Is the power adapter included?

No, the charger only includes a USB-C cable (1.5 m). You need a compatible USB-C power adapter (sold separately). IKEA recommends using a 5V/2A or, for faster charging, a 9V/2A adapter.

How do I clean the charger?

Unplug the charger and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, cleaning agents, or abrasive materials. Keep the silicone pad free from dust and dirt.

What safety features does it have?

The charger includes foreign object detection, overheat protection, overvoltage protection, and overcurrent protection. If an object is detected between the pad and device, charging stops automatically.

What should I do if the charger stops working?

First, check the power adapter and cable. Try a different USB-C cable and adapter. Ensure your device is centered on the pad. If the LED is flashing, remove any metal objects. If none work, contact IKEA customer service or visit an IKEA store for replacement.

Is the charger repairable?

The NORDMÄRKE is not designed for user repair. Do not open the unit. If it malfunctions, return it to IKEA under warranty (2 years). Do not attempt to repair yourself.

Instructions for use

• Connect the USB cable to the power adapter and to NORDMÄRKE. Plug it into the wall socket.
• For wireless charging, place the device to be charged on top of the plus sign (+) on the charger. The device must be placed directly over the plus sign (+) on the charger for the charging function to work optimally. Note that on some devices you may have to activate wireless charging in settings.
• If your battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before it starts charging. This is entirely normal. You can see that the battery has begun charging when the battery symbol appears on your phone.

LED indicator (see illustrations):

1. Power on: LED lights up for 3 seconds.

2. Charging: LED on.

3. Charging completed: LED off.

4. Error: LED flashes.

Good to know

• USB cable length and quality influences charging speed and performance.
  • Devices may get warm during charging; this is completely normal and they will gradually cool down again after they are fully charged.
• Charging time may vary based on the device's battery capacity, charge level, the age of the battery and the temperature in the surrounding area.
• Charger storage temperature: -20°C to 25°C.
• Charger operating temperature: 0°C to 40°C.

Unplug the charger from the power source before cleaning and when it is not in use.

To clean the charger, wipe with a moist cloth.

Never submerge the charger in water.
