Frequently Asked Questions - BH0110003-1 Bromic

How do I ignite the Bromic BH0110003-1 patio heater?
Turn the gas cylinder valve on, then press and hold the ignition button for 3-5 seconds until the burner lights. If it doesn't light, wait 5 minutes before retrying.
What safety distances should I maintain?
Keep the heater at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from flammable materials such as furniture, curtains, or plants. Never use indoors or in enclosed spaces.
How do I clean the heater?
Turn off and cool down completely. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Clean the reflector and glass tube with mild soapy water; avoid abrasive cleaners. Inspect burner ports for debris.
What type of propane tank should I use?
Use a standard 20 lb propane cylinder with a Type 1 connection. Ensure the tank is upright and secured in the base.
Why does the heater shut off after a few minutes?
This could be due to a tipped-over safety trigger, low gas, or a faulty thermocouple. Check that the heater is level, the gas cylinder is not empty, and all connections are tight.
Can I use the heater in windy conditions?
The heater has a built-in flame failure device, but strong winds may blow out the flame. If the flame goes out, turn off the gas, wait 5 minutes, and relight. Position the heater sheltered from wind.
How do I replace the glass tube?
Order replacement part from Bromic. Turn off and cool the heater. Remove the top cover, unscrew the retaining screws, and carefully lift out the old glass. Install the new tube and reassemble.
Is the heater safe for use under a wooden patio cover?
No, the heater must be placed at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) below any overhead combustible materials. A wooden cover may catch fire.
What is the recommended storage procedure?
Disconnect the propane cylinder. Store the heater indoors in a dry area. Cover it to protect from dust. Store the tank outdoors in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources.
Where can I find spare parts for the BH0110003-1?
Spare parts are available through Bromic's official website or authorized distributors. Common parts include the glass tube, burner, regulator, and ignition kit.
