How do I switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit?

With the device off, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. The display will show the current unit; press the button again to toggle. The unit will automatically save your selection.

How long does it take to get a reading?

The ECOtemp provides a reading in approximately 30 seconds. However, for best accuracy, keep the probe under the tongue or in the armpit until the beep sounds.

What type of battery does it use and how do I replace it?

It uses one CR2032 battery. To replace, gently slide the battery cover off, remove the old battery, insert a new one with the positive side up, and close the cover.

How do I clean the thermometer?

Clean the probe after each use with a soft cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol (70%). Do not submerge in water or use abrasive cleaners.

What does the fever alert mean?

A fever alert is indicated by a red backlight and a series of beeps when the temperature exceeds 37.5°C (99.5°F). It signals a potential fever.

Can I use the thermometer on children?

Yes, the thermometer is safe for children. For infants, it is recommended to use the rectal measurement method for the most accurate reading.

What is the measurement accuracy?

The accuracy is ±0.1°C (±0.2°F) in the range of 35.5°C – 42.0°C. Outside this range, accuracy may be slightly lower.

Why does the display show 'Lo' or 'Hi'?

'Lo' indicates the temperature is below 32.0°C (89.6°F). 'Hi' indicates it is above 42.0°C (107.6°F). Ensure proper placement and wait for the device to stabilize.

How do I store the thermometer when not in use?

a. Mercury free clinic. Thermometer is a kind of measuring device for patient's temperature, and it can be used to measure the temperature of patient's mouth or amplit or anus.

The conditions of use, measuring temperature range should be between 35°C to 42°C, and the environment temperature should be 20°C to 30°C. If the temperature for storage is less than 20°C, please put the thermometers in the temperature 20°C to 30°C for at least 1-2 hours or 30°C to 35°C for ten minutes before use or test.

1. The temperature must be less than 42°C when it is stored and transported;

2. Disposal of the thermometer after use, swing the metallic liquid down then clearing it and cut it plastic case to avoid any damage.

Notice for swing: catch the tall part of the thermometer by thumb and forefinger tightly and carefully, swing the thermometer lightly several times until the liquid down.

The liquid column shall fall below the lowest numbered scale mark before use, then clean and disinfect the clinical thermometer in medical alcohol or pul on a disinfected prasic tube
