Frequently Asked Questions - RVCCH-75E CRUX

What vehicles is the RVCCH-75E compatible with?
The RVCCH-75E is compatible with 2011-2015 Chrysler 300, 2011-2014 Dodge Charger, and 2011-2016 Dodge Journey models equipped with an 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen radio that has a separate CD slot (two-piece radio). It is not compatible with 2015 Chrysler 300s without a CD slot (use RVCCH-75C instead) or vehicles with heated seats/steering wheel.
How do I install the RVCCH-75E module?
Installation is Plug & Play. Remove the factory radio, unplug the white and gray connectors, plug them into the corresponding connectors on the RVCCH-75E T-harness, then connect the RCA cables from the harness and camera. The thin RED wire from the camera cable connects to the WHITE wire on the harness for power. Ground the BLACK wire to chassis. Test before reinstalling.
What does the DIP switch 1 (Video in Motion) do?
DIP switch 1 turned ON enables the Video in Motion (VIM) function, allowing video playback from sources like DVD or streaming while the vehicle is in motion. When OFF, video is only shown when parked.
How do I activate the forced reverse camera view while driving?
Set DIP switch 4 to ON. Then, press and hold the middle button on the left side of the steering wheel controls (SWC) for 2-3 seconds to activate the rear-view camera while driving. Press again to deactivate. The camera will auto power off after 10 seconds.
Can I turn off the parking guide lines?
Yes. The parking guide lines are ON by default. To turn them OFF, locate the thin WHITE wire on the camera cable about 4 feet from the camera, cut it, and insulate the ends with tape. Then unplug and reconnect the 4-pin barrel connector nearby.
Does the RVCCH-75E support manual transmission vehicles?
Yes, but note that the white wire on the harness does not supply the reverse trigger for manual transmissions. Instead, the camera power must be connected directly to the factory reverse light wire to activate the camera when reverse is engaged.
What should I do if the radio does not turn on after installation?
Try adjusting DIP switches 5 and 6. The manual suggests three attempts: 1) Set both to ON; 2) Set 5 ON, 6 OFF; 3) Set 5 OFF, 6 ON. This should resolve most turn-on issues.
How do I mount the bullet camera?
The universal bullet camera is often mounted on the third brake light. Remove the brake light assembly, drill a hole using the provided drill saw, route the camera cable through, and adjust the camera angle while checking the view on the radio in reverse. Secure once aligned.
What type of screen radio is required?
The RVCCH-75E is designed for 8.4" Uconnect touchscreen radios that have a separate CD slot (two-piece radio). If your radio does not have a CD slot (one-piece), use part number RVCCH-75C instead.
Is the camera included with the RVCCH-75E?
Yes, the kit includes a universal bullet camera (CUB-01) with a 20 ft. coax cable, along with the module and T-harness. Installation tools like a drill saw are also supplied.
