How do I turn the device on and off?

Press the ON/MEASURE button briefly to turn on. Press and hold for about 2 seconds to turn off. The device also enters standby after 180 seconds of inactivity.

How to measure a distance?

Point the laser at the target and press the ON/MEASURE button once. The result appears instantly on the display.

What is continuous measurement and how to use it?

Continuous measurement allows you to move the device while distances update in real-time. Press and hold the ON/MEASURE button for about 3 seconds to activate. Press again to stop.

How to add or subtract measurements?

After taking a measurement, press the + or - button. Then take the next measurement. The display shows the running total or difference.

How to measure area or volume?

Press the AREA or VOLUME button (depending on model). Then measure the length and width (for area) or length, width, and height (for volume). The result is calculated automatically.

What is the maximum measuring range?

The device measures distances from 0.05 m up to 50 m. Accuracy is ±2 mm under favorable conditions.

How to change units (meters/feet/inches)?

Press and hold the UNIT button for 2 seconds to cycle through available units: meters (m), feet (ft), inches (in), and feet+inches (ft+in).

How to clean the laser lens?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water. Gently wipe the lens. Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive materials.

Is the device waterproof?

It has an IP54 rating, meaning it is splash-proof and dust-resistant. It should not be submerged in water.

What should I do if the device does not turn on?

Check the batteries: replace with new AAA batteries if needed. Ensure the battery contacts are clean. If the problem persists, contact Atlas customer support.

Attenuator Installations

Wiring

Each terminal will hold up to 2-16AWG stranded wire. For larger wires or home run situations, a small length of wire and a wire nut are recommended. Attach wire according to label on terminal block as shown to the right (Non-PA Models will not have the "VDC+" and "VDC-" terminals).

*Install the unit with the terminal block on top. This will ensure that the OFF position is in the bottom.

Wiring Requirements: (1) Pair for Audio, (1) Pair for Relay

Use 2nd external relay when paging switch is part of a paging microphone. This will reduce hum and noise pickup from the mic.

Drill holes in panel using the template to the right. Peel off adhesive backing on escutcheon overlay. Align hole openings with holes in panel and affix to surface. Remove knob and nut from attenuator. Insert bushing through large hole in panel making sure that the small indentation on the bracket lines up with the small hole in the panel. Fasten attenuator to panel with the nut. Fit attenuator knob on shaft. Tighten screw on knob to secure.
