Subaru Prewired ASWC-1 Harness 2015-up AX-SUB28SWC
INTRODUCTION
The AX-SUB28SWC is a prewired harness for the ASWC-1 (sold separately) which also allows the retention of the factory AUX-IN jack and backup camera.
Note that the backup camera can only be retained on models with a 6.2 inch display screen. It is also recommended to use the AX-CAM6V (sold separately) to provide the camera with the proper voltage.

CAUTION! Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning any installation, unless the vehicle manufacturer recommends against so. Please check with your local Dealership for more information. All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and especially air bag indicator lights must be connected before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the on position, or the vehicle running. It would be best to remove the key from the ignition and then wait a few seconds before removing the factory radio.

Connections to be made
To the vehicle:
- Connect the Black wire to chassis ground.
- Connect the Yellow wire to battery power.
- Connect the Red wire to accessory power.
To the aftermarket radio:
- Connect the Yellow RCA jack to the backup camera input.
- Connect the Red RCA jack to the right AUX-IN jack.
- Connect the White RCA jack to the left AUX-IN jack.
The following (3) wires are for aftermarket multimedia/navigation radios that provide these wires (if not required, tape them off and disregard them): - Connect the Light Green wire to the parking brake wire (if applicable).
- Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the speed sense wire (if applicable).
- Connect the Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire (if applicable).
Installing the AX-SUB285WC
With the key in the off position:
- After the radio has been tested and working, connect the AX-SUB28SWC harness to the vehicle, and then into the ASWC-1.
- Refer to the ASWC-1 instructions for radio connections and programming.
Note: Disregard the harness that comes with the ASWC-1.
